Hey, Suzan,

Babette graduated from puppy school today with high honors. Companion dog training begins next week. She is so outgoing and makes everyone so happy that we would like to give her a chance as a therapy dog. Her trainer is sure she would be a star. Thanks again for breeding such a fine dog.

Best,

Hi Suzan,

My testimonial wouldn't fit on your website so I thought I'd email you.  Clementine is doing great! She hates being in her play pen though :( We are working on leaving her in there for short intervals during the day. Today we showered and left her alone for 15 minutes. She hated it and its hard for me to hear. I hope it changes soon. We are taking the advice that the ebook said on behavior.

Other than that she is fabulous! Healthy, extremely happy and playful and oh so cuddly :)

Have a great afternoon!

Kendall

Testimonial:

Torey & I did a lot of research when it came to the breeder we wanted to pick for our French Bulldog. We came across Suzan Dexter and Aristocrat French Bulldog and Bullmastiff website and we knew that we wanted a puppy from her! We decided that we were not ready for the immediate breeding due to a job change and were in contact with Suzan for almost a year. She made the entire process so much easier from tons of materials to an exact list of things we needed for the puppy. She gave us advice on training, health and how to have a happy dog.

When our sweet puppy Clementine was born, Suzan uploaded hundreds of pictures and bi weekly youtube videos. It felt like we were really watching her grow and getting to know her. It was so valuable to have! When we picked up Clementine, we were delighted to see all of the puppies and an extremely well maintained doggy area in the house. The dogs are all apart of Suzan's family which is great for their temperment.

The "Puppy Go Home Kit" is one of the most useful tools ever! It has toys, important information (ebooks, articles etc), a few cd's with different noises for the puppy, the lineage of the puppy, AKC information, the microchip info, all of her medical history and important documents to bring her vet. Honestly, I could go on for ever about how amazing Suzan and Aristocrat French Bulldogs & Bullmastiffs are. We are VERY lucky to have a perfect French Bulldog and we are so happy with the experience we had leading up to it and the support we have received since coming home.

Hi Susan

Are you running some freaky lab up there in Maine that injects puppies with super smart genes??? LOL
This dog is amazing!!!!! He scares the heck out of me! He thinks like a human, and catches on to things so fast
it doesn't seem real! He had figured out how to unlock his pen from the inside so I have to tie it shut. He carries his empty
food bowl in and sits it in front of me when it is empty. He knows he gets three trick treats after he goes potty. He carries our shoes out to the
porch and lines them up the same as they were inside???? He knows exactly where to bite the squeaky where it will squeak??

He has only pooed inside one time, (my fault)and no more pee after the first few days. I do lead him out after he wakes up but he will go out on his own.

He now weighs 24 lbs. and I swear he has doubled in size. He begs for carrots and apples when we eat them. He jumps and whines till
we give in and share. LOL

Luca makes us laugh all day long! He is soooo funny! What a bug and joy he is! I bought him a snake that is like the skunk
you sent--those are his favorite toys. We wake up every morning to the squeaking---LOL. He sleeps with us as I just can't part with him
for the night. The dogs go into town with us most of the time but when I have to leave him home it just breaks my heart to leave him in the pen.
I usually time it when it is his nap time so he sleeps while we are gone.

Just know we are very much in love with our Luca J.-----Sharon J.

Hi, Suzan,

Just thought I'd let you know what a great dog Jonas is turning out to be. He is almost 14 months old, and I think was one of the biggest males in the litter-one of Izzy's and someone, can't remember the stud--but people comment all the time on his temperment. Although I continued to expose him to all sorts of scenarios after we got him from you --horses, busy roads with sirens, elevators, all kinds of kids, people, big men, wheelchairs, crutches, I do believe a lot of his steadiness comes from the crazy desentsitization that you did with the litter right out of the gate. I do have plans for him to become a therapy dog and have become familiar with all of the criteria. People love him, once they get over his initial appearance and size of his head :)

One thing I am slightly curious about though is if he will have any guarding instinct as he gets older. We adopted another dog before Jonas, Holly, who was a 4 year old mutt with severe orthopedic issues (severe bilateral hip and elbow dysplasia, chronically dislocated shoulder, lyme and heartworm positive when we got her), and I must say the two of them are best buddies. They wrestle the best that she can, and she gives him heck when he is in the water by barking at him to get out, and then she chases and chases him (and grabs his tail :) Interestingly, if any one comes to the door or with any strange noise, she is the most alert, starts to bark, finally wakes Jonas up (who is snoring like crazy), and then he will get up and just stand there. I've read that the guarding characteristic is inherent in the bullmastiff, and that it will come out if it needs to. Also that the better socialized the dog is, actually the better it is from a discrimination standpoint as it can recognize unusual behaviors. Anyway, just wondering. I have 3 daughters (ages 8, 5 and 5) who adore the dog and are often out in the yard playing when both dogs are out. Neighborhood kids are coming and going (initially with my supervision, although Holly seems to be the dog that is more edgy with some of the kids). Obviously first and foremost our dog is a family dog, but I was just wondering if any guarding behavior would surface when he gets older.

Hope you had a good summer, although I'm sure it was busy for you.

Look forward to your comments,

Anne

Hector's First Day Home:

Hi Suzan,

I just sent you a link to a bunch of pic's from Hector's first day home. Everyhthing is going great. He seems to be fitting along real nicely. He was a little nervous first day and this morning, but I rub him down and he gets comfortable again. Soon he will be all settled in. He really does seem to be almost potty trained! We have his set spot outside that he has released on everytime we brought him out. He has also gone twice in the litter box, so other than when we first got back from his long flight, he has been accident free and doing great! I can see how smart he is, and slightly stubborn as well.

We just got back from the pet store and we purchased a couple more toys, two great feeding bowls, and signed him up for puppy training starting next week. Also, his first Vet appointment is set for this Thursday. Will let you know how that goes.

Will keep you posted. So far everthing has been amazing. You are great at what you do, the best! We're not certain what let us to go to you, but we thank God we did.

Best Regards,

Chris

Hi Suzan,
Well, another year has come and gone and my beautiful baby boy gets more fantastic as each day goes by. We were looking at the pictures and videos of the last set of Bullmastiff puppies playing in the yard and Nigel went crazy when he heard your voice calling puppy, puppy, puppy!!! I believe since you spent the first 8 weeks of his life, living in the nursery with him, your voice is imprinted in his mind forever. What an amazing person you are to take such good care of the babies. You are so devoted to all your puppies and the time you spend with them is priceless. I have so many compliments on how beautiful and well behaved my 140lb, Nigel is. We Just started advanced tracking and Nigel is doing pretty good despite the hot dry weather we've had. What a wonderful and loving boy he is. All the kids in our neighborhood always stop to pet him. The little 3yr.old always hugs and kisses him. I'll always have a Bullmastiff as my friend, companion and partner for the rest of my life. I'm in love with this breed. I hope you and your family are doing well and having a good summer. The baby Frenchies are precious!
Take care,
Love, Mimi and Nigel
ps. Send Annie and Tearloch, Nigel's love and you as always!

Dear Suzan,

Hard to believe it has been 7 years! Indy has grown up to be such a great and handsome guy (this phone photo doesn't do him justice, and I interrupted his

nap!). We love him so much. No one could ask for a more devoted and loving

dog than he is to our family. Thank you for all you did to make such happiness

possible.

We hope all is well with you, your family and your bully brood.

Warm regards,

Hillary and Family

Hi Suzan,How are you doing? I hope good.I have to tell you that Jaxs is amazing, handsome, adorable, you name it he is! Thank you for all that you do to make him more than what I ever expected.

Cheryl,

Tell your nephew that he would make a huge mistake by not getting a dog from this breeder! She is by far the best breeder we've ever dealt with, by a long shot. She guarantees her dogs and works with them before they are adopted to make sure they are properly mannered and ready to go home with the new parents. She vets the new parents better than most adoption agencies do for children and prepares the new parents to the hilt. The site is Aristocrat French Bulldogs and they are in Pittsfield, Maine. The owner, Suzan, is a vet and delivers the pups herself and loves them from their first breath on. I don't know when she will have a new litter but it's worth the wait. Her email address is: <aristocratbulls@roadrunner.com> .

Have your nephew give me a call if he wants to know more about Frenchies or the breeder. We never get tired of talking about our beautiful little bit of sunshine!

John

John, My nephew and his family in Winchester are considering getting a French Bulldog. Does the breeder you got Soleil from have a website?
I was telling him last night how adorable she is & he asked where you got her.

Thanks.
Cheryl

Hi Suzan,

As always, I hope this email finds you well. I hope the weather is beginning to warm up for you. We had an 86 degree day today in VA. Murphy is doing great. She was fixed on March 4; she recuperated well. I attached two pictures of her. The one with her covered in the blanket was after my sister and her puppy left. The two dogs had a great visit and Murphy was exhausted for 2 days. The other picture is our 8year old Alaina walking her. Murphy is so good with her.

Murphy is enjoying coming out to the baseball and softball fields as we spend most of our time there in the spring. She loves riding in the car and wants to go everywhere we do. I look at her and still can't believe that I love her as much as I do; she has been such a wonderful addition to our family.

All the Best,
Kristen

Hi Suzan,

We picked Hercules up and he was so happy to see us. He is such a good boy. I love him so much he already ate and drank alot of water. I didnt see the water bottle we bought in his crate but I gave him some of the water from the water bottles in his bowl. He is playing with his toys now and he is already playing fetch. He even ate some food. He is very happy :) We got a flat tire on the way to the airport too but thank god we managed to get there early. At first he was scared when he got out of his crate and after he just gave me so many kisses. And now he is running around having fun. I will send you a another message soon Im going to go back and play with him. Thank you so much for provided this beautiful puppy he is an angel.

Afrodite

Hi Suzan,

Hercules peed right in his potty with no problem he ate a whole bowl of food and drank water played took a nap in his playpen and now he is sleeping in his crate. He is an amazing dog. I am so amazed on how well trained he is. You really do a fantastic job. Your hard work really reflects on these beautiful puppies. Thank you so much for this special little guy. ;)

Afrodite

Thank you! I absolutely LOVE him to death! I have never had a dog that I trusted 100% with other dogs, people, kids, cats..... you name it! He is just amazing :) He does have a bit of separation anxiety...but nothing overwhelming! I kind of like that he wants to know where I am/be with me at all times. He is so "human." SO many people on the island were commenting on how beautiful and sweet he was...and sooo many people asked if they could pet him. I am amazed by him. He doesn't have a mean bone or hair or whatever in his body. Even when my aunt's dog (who is a grumpy little terrier) growled at him, he still wanted to just play. To be honest, I don't think I have ever heard him growl. I toy with the idea of getting another one...but I don't want to hurt his feelings. He knows he's my boy... And I know another one can't compare to him.

Hi Suzan and the bully gang,

Ifm sorry that I havenft written earlier but Ifve been having so much fun in California that I havenft had a chance. I wanted to write and let you know how Ifm doing here in and just how much Ifm loved J

Thursday 7-1

Mommy, Daddy and Tyler came to pick me up from the airport today. It wasnft just a long day for me either as apparently mommy, daddy and Tyler tracked my entire flight itinerary all day and were waiting with much anticipation and excitement for my arrival J When I was due to arrive at LAX everyone came to see me and pick me up at the cargo area but I wasnft there yet! Tyler was a little concerned and thought maybe something happened to me but within 10 minutes I came around the corner to the awaiting arms of my new loving family. Mommy and Tyler tried not to cry and even daddy got a little choked up at the site of meJ Oh did I mention loving J Letfs just say itfs a good thing Ifm a snuggler JWhen they first handed daddy my crate everyone immediately started calling my name and as I began to open my little eyes I was mmmc the name sounds familiar but who are you and more importantly where am I J Daddy said very happily letfs go home Kody. P.S. the guys at the loading area said that I was soc cute! When daddy got me to the car he quickly realized that I was locked in my crate and so mommy ran up and borrowed some scissors to cut me free J after a few minutes my crate was opened and I got right into daddyfs lap and into the car. I rode all the way home kissing and making my way back in forth from Tylerfs lap to mommyfs lap J I especially loved looking at all the lights out of the car window! When I arrived to my new house I had to look in every nook and cranny and it wasnft long before everyone realized that I could and tried to get into every nook and cranny tooJ After a very long and adventures day I was tuckered out and ready to go night ! night! Tyler knew exactly where I was going to sleep in his room and I knew exactly where I was going to sleep with Tyler and that is exactly what I did my first night in my new house I knew I was home!

Friday 7-2

Mommy has to go to work today L so daddy, Tyler and I get to have all the fun!!!! I have spent most of the day checking out my new back yard and have found that I really love to play hide n seek under the lawn chairs with Tyler J some one should really tell me that I can be seen through the holes embarrassing J I also love to roll and go through the this really cool blue tunnel. Today I got in it with Tyler and started making it roll I didnft think Tyler was ever going to stop giggling J While I have a million toys already J my favorite chew toy so far is this soft blue bone that squeaks and a blue football that was Hannahfs (Tyler says she loved the football the most too ahh..)! I ran around and played a lot today but if they think Ifm sleeping in that crate tonight their crazyJ Daddy tried to get me into the Dr.fs today while mommy was gone but I canft go until July 21st. My doctor is the best though and daddy and mommy say only the best for me will do so I have to wait a bit! According to Tyler I shouldnft be so thrilled about this Dr. visit and so hefs going to come and hold my puppy paws for support! See Tyler doesnft like shots and really thinks that mommy and daddy should tell me it might hurt a little bit ahhc I will let you know how this little visit goes! Ifm not sure whofs going to take this little trip harder J Well they tried to put me in my crate at night! night! time but they have to be more clever than that ( Tyler didnft close it all the way) I just pushed with my little nose and I was free and then I waddled over to my other blankie next to Tyler and went to sleepJ

Saturday 7-3

Some of mommyfs friends are coming to play with me today YIPEE!!!! When my new friends arrived they said that I looked like a baby lion and couldnft get enough of me! Well let me tell you I lapped up every minute of attention they were giving me and at the end of my first play date nobody wanted to go homeJ. Tylerfs big brother came to play with me in the living room too and just thinks Ifm a hoot! I really didnft want him to go to work after that and made quite a fuss when he went to leave J I think theyfre going to try that crate thing again tonight good luck with that folks J Well they put me in my crate and I started to cry a little L Tyler became very upset and said that I was sad! Mommy went to take me out but daddy said letfs try one more night, that we donft want Kody to roam the house and get hurt while everyone is sleeping. Tyler came up with a great idea and said I will play him soft music and then he wonft be afraid J Yep it worked and I immediately went to sleep J But donft get any ideas folks I like to sleep with someone. So I guess gosh darn it Ifm going to have to get this potty training thing down so that I can be out.

Sunday 7-4

YIPEEE!!!! Itfs 4th of July today and there taking me over to grandmas and papfs house J Well grandma and paps have a pool. I put my front paws in and fell head first into the pool J Let me tell you it was cold burrrr and that was it for me and the pool J I was intrigued by fireworks, couldnft wait to see it and not the least bit afraid until someone set off one that made a big boom and I ran in between mommyfs legs ! My first 4th was pretty spectacular other than that little hiccup and I really like grandma and followed her everywhere. When I left they said they couldnft believe what a love I was and what a good boy I was at their house! All I know is Ifm going to sleep well tonight I was quite the entertainer todayJ

Monday 7-5

What is it that these people keep eating it that smells so good! I discovered today that pizza smells and looks pretty good! Mommy made some pizza and let me tell you I begged and pleated with Tyler to give me some but mommy and daddy explained that it could make me sick! Darn it my cute little self and that pouty look almost got me pizza today until the adults came around J Got my first bath today! I was so excited when I was watching Tyler put the water in the tub and kept getting up on the tub and talking to the water J When I got into the water with Tyler I was like ok this is pretty cool but my favorite was being rinsed off. I was like ooh ahh! Ifm sleeping better in my crate now but everyone is still on Kody time and as Tyler put it to daddy when daddy said he was tired gwhy are you tired? Ifm the one Kody is waking up at night J Mommy said really because Ifm the one taking him out every time to go potty! So as you can see Ifm well on my way to bonding with my family J

Tuesday 7-6

Learned a new game with Tyler today. Tyler jumps from stepping stone to stepping stone and I try to catch him before he gets to the safety zone! Ifm actually pretty good at this game and love to play it! This kid here is pretty awesome J A really cool package arrived today! And I found out it was from you. I donft know who was more excited Tyler or me as we both ripped it open J there were all kinds of toys for me and Tyler got this really cool puppy hat (which by the way he wore the entire day). Tyler played a new cd out in the back yard from the special box about happy doggies and we thought it was the best! It played why we played our new game! Oh and there was this new beautiful blue collar from the box too. Tyler thinks itfs the greatest I however beg to differ on that one and think I can do just fine without that thing around my neck J Mommy said today that I fit right on in with this family as I am quite opinionated and already know exactly what I want and donft want J Mommy continues to take loads of pictures of me and now I simply just get up and walk away when Ifm over it J She will send you some great pics as soon as she gets them developed J

Friday 7-9

Look what I can do! I discovered today that I can jump up on the couch all by myself J Now Ifm not exactly sure how I do it so Ifm not consistent with it but Ifm working on figuring that out! I love to roll through the dirty laundry after mommy sorts it, anything that has ties is definitely something to play with, donft leave your flip flops out or there mine and mommyfs purple slippers are awesome! But it is mommy, daddy and Tyler that I love to play with the most!

Sunday 7-10

Getting so BIG and love to be around peopleJ Tyler asked today when he can take me for a walk he said Ifm getting so big and how come he canft walk me or take me to puppy school yet! Mommy and daddy explained that it is important to go to my Dr. visit first to get my last shots so that Ifm safe! Hopefully waiting until the 21st wonft be too long for Tyler and me, we shall see J I have been having a lot of play dates with people though and thoroughly enjoy them! I truly am a LOVERc..

Monday 7-12

My fears J Ifve discovered Ifm afraid of the gardening hoe. And when daddy was using it to turn the soil in the back yard I ran from it J I donft like shadows and when mommy or daddy take me out to potty at night they have to squat down because if I see their shadow on the house fence I run between their legs completely oblivious to the fact that itfs their shadow J

Thursday 7-16

Ifm soc. smart!!! Everybody here cannot believe how smart Ifm J Today mommy put me in a day pen just so she could mop the floor for a few minutes. Because if Ifm left out in the back yard and not watched I put everything in my mouth and if mommy lets me be with her when mopping I grab the mop every 5 minutes and practically sit on it J So today while mopping after a few minutes mommy turns around and almost falls over my pen Ifm right next to her in my pen. Why is that strange because the pen was just across the room? I had moved the pen with my nose to be right next to mommy J Ifm such a character J and by the way donft think that you can ever leave me out of the fun J

So each and every day has to start with Kody snuggles and kisses and after that I look forward to what the new day brings J I pretty much run the house if you couldnft tell and I would have to say that YEH I pretty much have my family wrapped around my puppy paws J But they also say here, what was a day like before we had Kody and they all say definitely not as much fun!

Mommy, daddy and Tyler want to thank you soc much for making their family now complete and I want to thank you for sending me to a family that loves me more then youfll ever know and whom I have come to love soc much

XOXO,

Kody

Hello Suzan -

I wanted to write a note to you and possibly future adoptive parents related to my experience I had in obtaining Beau.

During my research of breeders, my sense of worry became heightened because of all of the bad stories that I read (i.e.., not being informed, receiving a female puppy when a male was desired, etc). This was heightened even more since since you are located in Maine and I am in Virginia. There was no way to physically be there a few times during the 8 weeks the puppy would be in your care to watch the interplay between the mother and puppies, and to determine the temperment of the puppy that I wanted, so I was very vulnerable. I contemplated getting a puppy from a breeder that was closer to my house but gained confidence in you and your dogs after continually reading your website and through conversations with you.

The manner in which you modified your home just for the puppies is amazing. No other breeder that I came across seemed to be so in tune with the needs of the mother and the puppies. When speaking with them, they just have a welping box that they put in one of the rooms. You have temperature controlled rooms, speakers for de-sensitization noises, too many toys to count and you continually looked in on them. I remember the one video you provided and it was at 2:00 AM and you are playing and taking care of the puppies. Truly amzaing.

When it came time to for me to select my puppy, you described each of the puppies, the pros and cons of each puppy, and provided a recommendation based on my desires. Beau is everything that you said he was and more.

When time for Beau to come to my house arrived, you took care of all of the requirements to fly him to me. He arrived in great shape. My daughters just swooned over him the minute they saw him and so did everyone else at the airport. The entire experience with you was very pleasurable. I am still going through all of the information that you provided me. As I told you, when my wife got her French Bulldog from a different breeder, she met the breeder and Libbi was in a new crate and the breeder gave my wife the paperwork, that was it. Your package covers everything from health, to lineage, to AKC, to food, etc, etc, etc. Much like your site. A lot of info to be able to take of the new family addition.

Sorry for being so long. I hope you will share this with any potential new adoptive parents as I would not hesitate to give you a recommendation. You have my information so if asked, please do not hesitate to provide them with my contact info.

Thank you again for everything.

Kevin Simpson

Hi Suzan,

Well, Nigel just celebrated his second birthday yesterday!!!! What a beautiful and special boy he has become. Nigel is a lean 140lbs.with the cutest face and the most amazing

fawn and red brindle coloring. He's doing great and he's now working on his Tracking Dog Title. It was amazing that he did better than the German Shepards and Labradors in class The owners were upset that a Bullmastiff performed better than their dogs that were bred for this. We sure did have fun together in the rain, wind, cold and hot weather. What a lot of work it is. I'll be sending you some new pictures soon, my computer crashed so I need a new one.

Your new Bullmastiff puppies are precious and the French Bulldog puppies are adorable! My mom's hinting about the French Bulldog puppies, she's in love with them. I hope your mom and your family are doing well and of course you too. I can see all your big and small babies are good. I enjoy looking at your pictures and videos of the new puppies and all the dogs.

One last thing I have to tell you is that Nigel still recognizes your voice. When I'm watching the videos and you are talking to the puppies he comes running into the room, no matter what he's doing. It's truely amazing the effect you have on him 2 yrs later! You spent so much time with him as a tiny baby and he still is excited to hear you. I tell him, that's your first mommy and he gives me a big kiss.

Take care,

Love, Mimi and Nigel

Hi Suzan,Its Shannon.

Gracie is doing fantastic!!! You are absolutely right about her being SMART!!!! She is bonding so fast to the kids and I,too!! She follows them everywhere, and dumps her water dish every chance she gets!!! She has an AMAZING Personality!!! "Amazing Grace" fits her perfectly!!! We are trying to get home sooner than the 4th so she doesnt have to be exposed to so many germs, but so far we are still on hold for an earlier flight. I will keep you posted and try to get some pics out to you soon. Thank You for EVERYTHING!!! Love,Shannon
P.S. It was so nice to meet you. I really enjoyed talking with you and meeting Jason and all the Grown Up Bullies!!! You are a very sweet person :)

Hi Suzan,

Thank you for the new video of Gracie!!! She is such a little doll!! She looks absolutely perfect in every way! Her movement seems incredible, especially for a puppy. I LOVE the way she prances! :) She really does look like an Aristocrat!!! Thank you so much for making her our little girl!!!! I have to say that Ruby just won the "Best Grammie EVER" award!!! I thought it was so precious when she put her arm on Gracie and it looked like she gave her a kiss!! :) Bullmastiffs are the most amazing dogs, They seem so human!!! It's easy to see how one might end up with a dozen!! :) I got our travel arrangements all set. The hardest part is going to be leaving Louie and Coconut here!!! I wish I could bring them!! I would love for you to see ho handsome Louie is in person and what a Gentleman he is!!!! David and Alyssa will be here with them though, and their work scheduals are just about perfect. David gets home at 5:00 and Alyssa has to be at work at 5:00. So the babies won't have to be alone for very long. I know David will probably bring Louie in to work with him, too. Today is Louie's first Rally class and then they are doing obedience run throughs afterward. David is going to go with me tonight so he can get in on the class from the beginning since he's going to fill in for me while I'm gone. I'm excited! I think Louie will LOVE it too!! I can tell he's missing his puppy school!! ;) He LOVES to learn and socialize!!! ---Little social butterfly!!!! Anyway, We decided we would get a new kennel for Gracie from you, if that's olright. It would probably end up costing almost as much to try to bring Louie's old kennel out there since the airlines are charging so much for baggage these days. (It will be $50.oo to ship Louie's old kennel) I will send out our old t-shirts and probably a blankie that I've rubbed on the other dogs toward the end of the week. We will send a few chew toys for her trip home, too!!! I can't wait to start spoiling her rotten!!! Not that you haven't already begun that process!!! :) You provide them with so many differnt toys!!! I was surprized how much they love that bumble ball at such a young age! I've known toddlers that are afraid of those!!! That just shows what a tremendous job you do at desensitizing them!! I can't think of another litter of puppies I've ever seen (other than yours,) that don't cry and whine. I have NEVER seen yours cry OR whine!!! That's some happy, happy Bully-babies!!! Your time, effort and devotion really shows in your confident, happy puppies!!! And Louie is proof that it carries through into adulthood!!! I hope everyone who gets a baby from you realizes what a difference YOU make in these babies!!! It's been raining here for several days. While it does make it easy to water the lawn, the dogs are going stir crazy!!! Louie is really missing lounging out in the sun on the wicker love seat on the back deck!!! (He certainly knows how to get comfy!!!) Speaking of weather, I was wondering if it starts to get hot there in early July? I remember what a hassle that can be when you're trying to fly the short nosed breeds. Hopefully it will stay cool for a little longer! Well, I have a ton of stuff to do before It's time to go to Louie's class and it's already getting late in the day, so I had better get busy!!! P.S. I'm really happy we are getting to fly to Maine this time! I can't wait to meet you in person!! If there is anything I've forgotten, just let me know. I will call you when we get there and set up a time to come see you and Gracie. I would love to take you and Jason (and your son if he would like to go) out to dinner, if you would like to!!! Love, Shannon and Family

Dear Suzan,

I am SOOOOO excited about your new babies!!! They are SO BEAUTIFUL!!! Do you have any left? I love the little fawn who appears to be a "goofy Sleeper" like his big brother Louie! :) Anyway, Enjoy These perfectly precious baby bullies!!! (I know you are) But remember to take care of yourself and try to get some rest! haha!

King Louie and I have some news to share with you! On May Ist he passed (as star pupil) his CGC test!!! :) I am SO PROUD of him! The Lady gave us both a huge hug and told us "It is my pleasure to pass Louie today!" He is such a wonderful boy! I attribute much of his success to all of the work you do with these babies starting as soon as they are born! It made my job easy, really. All I have had to do is keep playing those CD's you sent in the puppy packet to keep him desensitized! Of Course I did have to work with him on his commands, but again, He is such a willing student, it is ALL FUN for both of us!!! :) He was as stable as a rock with all the "distractions" they tried on him. He wasn't afraid of any of the noises at all.

He also kept his composure when they tried to get his attention with all the neat squeaky toys and things! We are going to start Rally classes on June 2nd! I can't wait. Louie LOVES to go to "Puppy School!" Our goal is for him to become a therapy dog. We may have to travel all the way to Anchorage for that class as apparently there is no instructor for it here on the Peninsula! It will be an adventure! They do have a conformation obedience class this fall that we are going to take as well. He gets so excited to go be around the other dogs (and show off) Spring has finally hit up here in the far North, and Louie is LOVING it. The Mallard ducks arrived on the lake last week and Louie has been chasing them every single day!!! He looks so beatutiful and graceful running in the marsh with the water splashing up around him! I want to catch it on video and send it to you! It is truely a breathtaking sight! Thanks again for all that you do to bring people like us such joy! I don't believe there is a greater companion than a Bullmastiff!!! Love, Shannon, King Louie and family :)

Hello Suzan,

What a good time at this park! I had to get back to you on this one. What a wonderful social outlet for Jack, I was so impressed with the park, we will have to frequent it now. All fenced in and lots and lots of trails and also a great gathering place with a gazebo and plenty area for the dogs to socialize. If anyone asks tell them to go on dog park USA and they will see Quarry Dog Park in Portland listed Its one of the best one's I've seen. This guy has such great skills Suzan, I can't thank you enough, what a proud moment I had to watch his abilities with 15-20 dogs at once. Anyway, I thought that I would fill you in on a good find, take care and have fun with the babies!

Hello Suzan, I just wanted to say hey & let you know how amazing Winston really is. He is such a beautiful creation!!! He even sleeps with me in the king size bed every night!!! We are together almost 24 hours a day!!!! I love that boy! Thanks again for allowing me the pleasure of being his dad!! Such a well bred animal !!!!

Hi Suzan,

I can't believe my baby just turned 1yr. old Sept.2. What a precious boy he has become. He weighed in at 125.5 lbs. and is 25.5 inches at the withers. I had a small birthday party for him and he recieved some nice toys and treats. I am having him neutered next month.

He is still on large breed puppy food.

You'll be happy to know that Nigel starts his Therapy dog class on Oct.13th and then he can become a certified therapy dog and we will visit nursing homes and hospitals.. His brother, Henry is taking the CGC test and he will also take the Therapy dog class to become certified. Henry has been in an off leash obedience class for 1.5 yrs and loves it. He likes to show off to the other dogs at how well he listens to commands.

These boys are the center and the loves of my life!!! What great companions and freinds they are to me. Whatever you do to get the puppies ready for there new homes is fantastic!! I have never had a dog so loving and sweet as Nigel is. I can groom him, clean his ears, do his nails, as he sits there and looks adoringly into my eyes. What a great feeling it is to be loved that much! Nigel is just so gentle with all he meets. I love him more than words can say. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of the puppies and giving me such an intelligent and good boy that I am so proud of.

I hope all is well with you and your family including all your furry babies,

Love, Mimi

Hi Suzan,

Just a quick email to let you know that your/our puppy has found a new home with us and loves it. He had a rough go with the heat but has adjusted fine now. We named him Augustine (Gus) for short after St. Augustine.
He is growing so fast and big that he now towers over our little Boston Terrier. He is best friends with our Boston Terrier (Scooby). All they want to do is play and run but Gus also needs to go to school and learn how to be a good Bullmastiff puppy. He is very smart and easily learned come, sit and were working on shaking paws. He is very alert, energetic and actively follows us around the yard exploring everything. He also likes to eat anything that fits in his mouth especially are sandy soil. We will be sending you some photos soon.
Thanks so much for breeding such a beautiful and great puppy!!!

Sincerely,

Jim and Family

Hi Suzan,

Just a note to let you know that Lucy is doing great. She is sitting on my lap as I write and trying very hard to add her own nose print to this letter. She told me to sent you a kiss. She is getting the hang of going potty outside although I have to say sometimes we miss her cues, but we are learning too.

She gives us lots of kisses and we return the gift. She is that to us!

I hope you are well and the little french puppies find homes soon!

kim s : suzan is right about her bullies being the BEST! i have two of her little angels, and they're the best dogs that i've ever had! every single thing that she does for these babies, from the first minute they are born, will help the new/adoptive owners raise sweet, healthy, adaptable, well-mannered, smart, loyal puppies and dogs (big and tough, too!). she has helped us sooooo many times, often avoiding a trip to the vet; therefore saving me thousands of dollars (literally!). i couldn't say enough wonderful things about suzan and the doggies that she brings into this world. thank you suzan, jason, and the whole dext-orr bully family!

Hi Suzan,

Nigel just passed his CGC test tonight. I'm so proud of him! What a precious, sweet baby he is. 7 months old now and I'm sure he weighs more than 100lbs. since he weighed 92lbs at 6 months. He is the love of my life, along with his big brother Henry. I can't believe what a great temperament he has, everybody just loves his sweet, gentle nature. I'm so happy that I got my baby from you and that his daddy, Tearloch and mommy, Annie are just as gentle and sweet. Our next step will be to get Nigel to be a therapy dog, although here in Michigan the dogs have to be 1yr.old. We start advanced dog training next week on Tues. then next we may do a tracking class it sounds like fun. I'm having so much fun training my puppy.

I do have one important question for you, when do you recommend that I have Nigel neutered?

I hope all is well with you, your mom and your family and of course all your furry babies.

Take care,

Love, Mimi

Suzan,

Without a doubt a think you have some of the most amazing dogs I have seen in a group. You know usually people who breed have 1 or maybe 2 nice looking dogs and the others are "breeding fillers" at least that's what I call them.

But from top to bottom you possess some wonderful animals. I wish all breeders took the kind of time and effort that you do with yours!!

Dear Suzan,
As you know I've been an owner of Bullmastiffs for over 12 years now, I have even attempted to partner in operating a small kennel to show/breed Bullmastiffs. I have encountered many "pitfalls" in purchasing bullies abroad with much disappointment. I had lost faith in my passion with all of the negative encounters I have experienced.
I write you this letter in appreciation of your friendship and knowlege of the breed and actually the faith you have reinstated back into my passion, the Bullmastiff. I am very lucky, in my "bad luck" to have met and have had the opportunity to visit you on a few occasions. I admire you love of your dogs, all the hard work and dedication you put forth for this breed. I am so happy to have had a chance to see a spectacular 5 yr old male Bullmasitiff (from Fawncie Dancer X Opie the Red's litter 7-4-03) named Lex. I am lucky to have met this dog because it made adopting him very easy, what this dog had brought to me personally no words can explain, Lex is my best friend. He's a character that I have never experienced before in a Bullmastiff; he is not only a wonderful dog but also a great family member now. Suzan, for this I cannot thank you enough, and it mady buying a little girl from you easty to give Lex a buddy in the house.
So now we have 2 wonderful dogs of yours in our home, and life has not been the same for my family and me. I have never been so attached to my dogs as I am with these two!
I now end this letter by saying to you Suzan, how much I enjoy your dogs and my friendship with you. You have brought back a passion that I thought was diminished, and for this alone from the bottom of my heart, I thank you.:)

We take him to Gracen's school about once a week and everyone comments on how much he has grown each time. We are around him so much that we don't even notice it until we look at pictures or people make comments and we stop to really think about it. The vet did comment on how well behaved he was and of course Blake was showing off his "sit" an "down" skills. Which by the way Blake also watched your entire video and has tried it all (which I have only had time to watch parts) but he is so amazed at how fast Winston has mastered "leave it" when food or something is on the ground....I assume you know what I am talking about like I said I havent watched the entire thing so I havent gotten to that part. I asked him if he had tried it with a steak yet and he just laughed but showed me how to do the command and low and behold Winston could have cared less that a treat was laying on the floor right beside him...wow! A few days ago he would have knocked me over to get to loose food. We start classes Monday and I hope it goes as well...I just hope they follow the same patterns that Blake is already following from your video. Enough bragging...I just love the guy and everyday something new about him amazes me!

Hi Suzan!

Your Probably sleeping, but I thought that I would email and let you know that your baby is fine and sleeping and truly amazing, we are in love with him already! Not to difficult. I want to just say that I am amazed with this first day and what he is all about already, he is so everything that you said he would be and more. I wont go into a long email about how things went from the time that we left your home, but all has been great and he is settled and truly confident in who he is in his surroundings. My little Stuart is watching over him like a hawk as he sleeps, stuart the worry wart that cant let things be, I must be in control! (Doggie thought) I will be in touch and let you know how things are going and IM sure I'll always come up with things to ask you along the way, probably 99% quirky but I'll ask anyway. Thanks for bringing this beuatiful little bundle of joy into our home! He is truly amazing!! Wags,

Marc

Hi Suzan,

Here are a couple new pictures of Brodie...we graduate tomorrow night from our training class. Hopefully I can get some good pictures to send you of that! He's doing really well. Except he knows if he isn't getting the attention he thinks he should be getting he runs through his "tricks" he has learned so far! We were sitting on the couch the other night and he started barking at us, so we ignored him, then he started rolling over and sitting...then he'd do it again...it was so funny! He's a ham! Hope you enjoy these.

Dear Suzan,

Hi! I finally found all my pictures. Sam has been reorganizing things on the computer for his games and I couldn't find my pictures after I imported them. I hope you are able to open these! Well King Louie is doing just wonderful! He is sound asleep right now with a full belly! I put his Iris X-pen together and his some treats for him to find and put his bed in there and a small food and water dish and tons of toys!!! He explored, ate all the treats drank some water cried about two minutes and then laid down and went to sleep. He had just gone out to go potty with me and the girls. He doesn't seem to be hitting the wee-wee pads as frequently now that we are home, but that's probally our fault more than his. He is doing pretty spectacularly for a nine week old puppy though! I took his poo sample back in to the vet, and (like I expected) no parasites or worms. He said it sure looks like we have a wonderfully healthy puppy. Everything looks just perfect!! I want you to know that we are so happy with this puppy and we love him so much already and I know you feel the same way about your dogs and that your love of the Bullmastiff along with your disdain for unethical breeders leads you to do what you do. And I trust your heart is in this to propetuate the healthy Bullmastiff!! I think it takes someone very special to do what you do. I almost cried when we had to put him on the plane in Minnesota and I had only had him overnight. I can imagine how hard it is for you to let them go after basicly hand raising them since birth!! He really seems to have taken the transition well. He gets along really well with Precious, but I knew he would. She is such a Tom Boy! Coconut, well she's "Too Fancy" to play with him. (That's what Kimberly said) Really, she's just so ROTTEN!!! I think she will warm up to him soon, she won't be able to just sit by and watch them play. She has to be in the middle of EVERYTHING. King Louis went down to the lake yesterday. He wasn't afraid to get his feet wet. He loved the dirt! He tried to eat a rock, AND my flowers!! He also went out on the dock with David and Kimberly and didn't seem to have ANY fear of ANYTHING!!! He had a great time. He rode down there with us on the Ranger, He wasn't afraid of that either! I only let him stay down there for about 15 minutes though because he's still just a baby! I have some pictures of him trying to bite the flowers off of the stems, too. I will send you some of those too. I also took a really cute movie of him trying to play with his reflection in the mirror I will send out to you! I also wanted to say THANK YOU for the beautiful necklace and earrings!! I just love them and that was so thoughtful of you!!! Did you make them yourself? Kimberly and Sam were SO excited about the checkers game too! They brought it on the airplane and played it on the way home. You are just so sweet! We had so much fun with the puppy packet too! You thought of EVERYTHING!! It was better than Christmas! :) Well, I think I will go put on some coffee. David just woke up. Take care and I will talk to you soon! Shannon

Hi Suzan , Thanks for those pics, also the extra stuff you gave Bella was very sweet. She is so very happy with Raven, Celene want's dibs on the belly rubs wow she stretched straight out for that( the puppy not my wife)Raven didn't peep at all the whole way home,as soon as we got out of the truck I placed her on some pine in the yard and she peed! very cool! I must also say holy moly Tearloch is IMPRESIVE to say the least. We will have to plan on a road trip again so Celene can see him.Moxie is excited she is behaving very well with Raven but I new she would she is so passive.Again great job on a gorgeous puppy she is awsome I'll be sending pics soon. Kevin

Hello Suzan!

Just dropping you a line with a few pics of Jack at 7 months. Thought I would send you a little update on the little/big guy. I hope things are going well for you. I have been having a great time watching Jack grow, he is growing so fast I can't believe the rate that he grows! (almost 100lbs!!!, and so lean) he is so smart and sooo beautiful!!! I have been really enjoying training with him he is so "easy" usually gets things first time around then shows me that he understands with a real life application of the concept. I can't get over how smart he is. Anyway we have been having a ball with last weeks snow, but it all went away with the recent rain. I can't stop this guy, he just wants to go go go... He has to help me with bringing wood in fpr the stove, shoveling snow, snow blowing, vacumming, shall I go on? He just loves to work! I have worked him into at least a mile walk twice a day and sometimes three, and he still wants to go more! He love's the days that we snow shoe together, I will send you the last set of pics as soon as I get them out of the camera that is at school right now. He is developing into a real fine dog though, he gets so many complements on who he is where ever he goes! And believe me, he goes everywhere--SPOILED!!! Oh yes, did I mention a master pouter? He loves everyone and everything, I call him my Happy Jack! Just a real extrovert, (paired up with an introvert!) I have a real great training program set up for him that is working so well, he really is a true natural with all of it though, it's as though he is reading my mind all the time, when he tunes in he really tunes in. IM looking forward to doing some therapy work with him I think he would be perfect. I have alot of experience in the mental health field and have a brother that runs Seniors Plus, and have many contacts with John F Murphy homes and Lutheren Social /Services, two angencies that work with people with Mental Retardation, so I could really get him going strong in the field, not to mention that Patsy is a 7th/8th grade teacher. He enjoys the social setting so much that I think he could really do some fantastics things out there. I'll fill you in more on this as it develops. Anyhow, I just wanted to say hi and send you a few more pics of my ham and let you know that he is well and growing like crazy, I'll send you a bunch more pics of fun in the snow later.

Marc n Jack.

Hi Suzan,

I just wanted to let you know Emmie is currently resting in her playpen after a long day of attention! She made it through the car ride home with absolutely no problems and is slowly but surely starting to get the idea of going to the bathroom in her pine shavings in her litter box. Our cats aren't so thrilled, but everyone else is!

I'll send you some pictures and a video as soon as I can download them.

Hope all is well,

i am headed off to work now...but i think you are absolutely right. billy is a mush...still sleeps on me and sits on ernie...like a puppy....he is the sweetest!!!! and sammy...what a love bug...what a love but...i can't say anymore... she is the sweetest....oh your pups must have been beautiful. hope you are feeling very much better and you must take case of yourself...i tell you that all the time.....much love to you and bullies and jason of course....love J

Oh man it's been so long. I have missed you so!! I think about you all the time!

I never got back to you with that last email, OMG! I can't believe how time flies!!!

Noah is doing awesome. If I could only get up there so you could give him a hug. I know you have so many love bugs but Suz you would love him so very much! He is so funny, so smart and so human, lol. There is not a mean bone in his body.

He is with us 98% of the time. He is our son, so that is the way it is, lol, he doesn't mind one bit. But I have to tell you a hilarious story......

We go to McDonald's a few times a week. We get him a scrabbled egg because we don't want him eating the crap we do. So, he knows if we are not up at 10 am he wakes us up because he is ready for the egg. 10 am sharp he wakes us. We get there and we all eat our breakfast. Well it's Noah's first breakfast, then he comes home and eats his Purina One canned food and his free feed Purina One dry food, plus biscuits.

So the other day we are waiting in this long line. The line is going nowhere. We are just sitting there and up comes Noah in between us. He stands on the center console. Well the other day he calmly reaches over and beeps the horn, haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. OMG I thought we were going to die from laughter. He gave a look as if to say, "What I'm serious, I want me egg." Oh God I wish you were there. Then he tried it again a few days later, lol. He is the funniest pup I tell you.

I am going to keep this short because I know how busy you are. I am going to send you a separate email with a few questions I have but am sending it separate because I wanted you to see this note for a laugh. Then you can get back to me when you have the time.

Love and talk to you soon!!!

Lis

Hello Suzan, I have one of the recent pups from Lucy and Luca. His name is Brutus, weighs 26 pounds and is looking great. As a matter of fact, he looks just like his daddy.

I was wondering if you could give me a little help on an issue I'm having with Brutus. I recently watched your video regarding taping a dog's/puppy's ear. I wanted you to look at the attached photos, and take not of his ears. His right ear started dropping back, now both his ears are dropping back. I sent two of each. Is this normal for his age, or do his ears now need to be taped?

Any insight and opinions you can provide would be great. I will most certainly appreciate them.

Although I'm not a handler, and my local resources are minimal, I am interested in showing Brutus within our SE Region. There's actually a Bullmastiff club in Brooksville Florida where they host AKC Shows. Although they are 5 hours away, I'll be able to talk to some of the club officers for additional information to accommodate my education.

Was Luca rambunctious as a pup? What a character we have with Brutus. I friended you on Face Book from the BrutusBeefcake Bullie page. I'm sure you get a million requests a day.

Thank you so much and I look forward to hearing from you.

Robert

Hi Suzan,

I just wanted to let you know that our beautiful baby is doing great! She is such a good little girl and goes right to sleep at night when we put her in her playpencrawls right into her crate , curls up and goes fast asleep for the night. We were somewhat uncertain about what you said about how we should be handling her at night.should we keep her inside the crate (which is inside the playpen), with the door closed until we get up and then take her right outside? Can she go through the night inside the crate? As of late, we have just left her in her crate with the door off and when we get up in the morning, she's usually still asleep, but has used the pine pad sometime during the early morning.

Also, I have been mixing the wellness dry with a scoop of canned and plain yogurt, but she doesn't seem to love it. We've left out the dry food inside her play pen always, how long should I leave out the mixed food? And how many times a day should we feed her the canned/dry mix?

Aside from those pressing questions, she's doing terrific we just love her and she's so smart! Hope you're doing okay (adjusting to a little more freedom), it was so nice to have finally met you. Thanks so much for all the information and for our beautiful puppywe just love her.

All my best, Suzanne

From Kendall's blog from On an Inhale & her new baby Clementine :) http://onaninhale.com/2012/10/why-hello-there/

Puppy: We are bringing home a sweet little french bulldog, Clementine, on 11/29 5 weeks from now. It痴 actually my birthday. It will be the best birthday present ever!

Our breeder is fabulous and she provides us weekly pictures and videos. Above is a picture from her 3 week update. I feel like a nesting mother because I have bought absolutely everything for her. Her area has been set up with a baby gate for weeks and there is a prepped puppy maintenance and first aid kit. My whole family is ready to meet her. The one person I知 most nervous about is my dog (who lives with my mom), Wilbur. Willie has been featured on here A LOT. He痴 my 13 year old 澱rother and long haired chihuahua. I知 hoping he is ready to be an uncle and loves his little niece. It will be interesting! Hopefully I can get a good video of the two of them. I would be overjoyed if they loved each other!

Hi Suzan,

Holy smokes, I bet you've got snow at home.  It's been a beautiful winter here so far, and Max has had a taste of running in the snow and peeing in the snow.  I think he enjoyed it.   It was so cute to watch him the first time he went out in it.  His muzzle was covered with snow, and he pranced around the yard like a show puppy.  So cute!

So, just a quick up date on him,...we went to the vets today for his third vaccination DHAPPC, and his first snorting for Bordetella, as my sisters lab who hasn't even been to a kennel,  has come down with kennel cough.   She will be here for Christmas, and I just took the extra precaution of protecting Max in every way possible.  Weird where that bug came from.

So,   Mr. Maximus weighed in today Dec. 22, at 48 lbs.   It's a safe bet by his 16 week birthday, which will be in two weeks,   he'll weigh 50 lbs,  probably more.  So 4 months and 50 lbs. +     Wow!   He looks perfectly proportioned, and not too fat, ...just a chunk.

I love him, love him, love him,   as does anyone who's fortunate enough to meet him.  He's that wonderful, warm, shiny, soft, loving marshmellow you always talked about.   I'm forever grateful and blessed.

I do promise you pictures in the near future

Merry Christmas again

Love,  Marla

We got back around 6 PM yesterday in what I would call the ride from h_ll! However, the GPS worked like a charm. NY drivers are insane! Sorry Cippy.

We to to Portland around 5:30 PM on Saturday, already exhausted. Showered and had a nice dinner. Watched the Philly's win and went to bed. Go Philly's!  Rain delay last night cancelled the rest of the game.

It is miserable here today, cold and rainy.

Anyway, we left to go get Lexi around 12 on Sunday which was about 1 hour and 45 minutes away from our hotel. I must tell you that Suzan is dream come true and I am so glad we waited to get one of her pups.

You walk in and the first part is where she has her supply of stuff that she makes, collars, coats, toys  and anything else you could think.

Lexi came with a pink tote bag with her name of it. A million toys, a blanket with her name on it and 3 different collars, a harness and a leash. Every time I saw something, Suzan just threw it in the bag. She also had a bunch of CD's  included on anything you could think of.

We went to the nursery and we thought we just call where is Lexi...LOL

Every puppy came running. There were a lot of black brindles so it was hard to pick her out until she pushed herself to the front like little bulldozer.

There is so much I could tell you about how wonderful, smart and sweet she is that it would take forever.

Suzan was funny, she got in the nursery pen where all the puppies were and sat down, they all ran and knocked her down and she was laying there sawdust in her long curly blond hair covered with puppies and you could barely see her face. She was laughing so hard. You could tell she lives for her dogs. She is also very tiny, only 5 feet tall and 110 pounds. I got a picture of this and many more.

Then we met the big guys. Her big Daddy, Tearlock is a 160 pounds and is as gentle as any bullmastiff should be. Jerry for sure wanted to take him home too! I would have also. He is just so awesome when you see him. Then came in Izzy, her mommy, and she was so beautiful. We met Ruby Rag Doll who is her grandmother and Fawncie who is her great grandmother. Along with Annie, Izzy's sister. There may have been a few I missed. Think I got the order right though.

We were mesmerized by Lexi and how gentle and sweet she was. This was the pick and Suzan had a hard time letting her go. I think she has a hard time letting any of her pups go. She even told us to put her in our will and we could include Jackson and she would take them both. No dog of hers is ever to be sold or give to anyone but her. She is an incredible breeder.

Back to the hotel and Lexi was good as gold.

Is my Lexi a dream come true. Much research was done on her. We drove all the way to Maine to get her last Saturday. Saw Alan Jackson on Friday night with a girlfriend and took the entire week off and it is almost over and back to work on Monday.

The breed is a vet tech and her husband is a vet. She has been breeding for 30 years. She had one live to 16 and the youngest she lost to any illness was 14. She knows all about genetic testing, etc and she is a doll. I met her on my sight many moons ago. She does total outcross, no inbreeding, no line breeding.

Here is her web site, actually one of the best ones I have ever

seen.

i am so unimpressed with vets....there is nothing like you and jason

anyway.....she had an exam, they kept her for a few hours...they got some urine...it was tested and she has a urinary bladder infection...they are culturing it right now for the next 24 hours....but they are starting her now on amoxicylin 250 two times a day.  they will call if that is the wrong meds after they read the culture that is growing.

they also gave her the rest of her shots..k-9 distermper, k-9 lyme ....

so our little girl seems o.k....just wants to pee all the time...and not all that much is coming out right now...but she is drinking water and eating and playing...my goodness...you gave us another sweetheart.

will keep you posted....love J

Hi Suzan,

I was watching the new videos of the 2 baby girls you still have and Nigel sat down next to me and didn't move the entire time.  His little head kept tilting back and forth as he sat and listened to your voice.  He still remembers his first mommy!!!

Love, Mimi

Mimi

Hi Suzan,

I just wanted you to know that we made it safely back home...he is the SWEETEST thing!

We have to come up with a name for him that is suitable for such a pretty boy!

We are off to bed now...it's 2:10am andwe are all pooped!

I'll send pictures tomorrow evening!

Thank you!

Tamara

Mia is perfect...She is learning very quickly. We had the vet yesterday and the girl is weighing 29lbs. The vet the entire clinic is in AWE..!! I have her stand and wait during her entire visit..The only problem is the Vet kept saying OK. And Mia would release her stand..LOL>.The Vet said considering her age that we are doing an amazing job training her..

Mimi:
I just bought my puppy, Nigel, from Annie and Tearlock's, 9/2/08 litter on Oct.28th when he was 8wks old. I came all the way from Michigan to pick up my puppy. What a beautiful and clean nursery the puppies lived in. I've never seen such a nice set up from a breeder. All the dogs came to meet my family and me, they had been waiting upstairs patiently. They were so sweet and BIG. I had such a hard time choosing a puppy since they were all so gorgeous. I had been dealing with Suzan over the internet and found her on puppyfind.com. The minute I saw her puppies from last years litter and read her web site I knew that I wanted one of her puppies. I had never seen such beautiful puppies before in my life! Coming to meet the dogs, puppies and Suzan was an experience of a life time and I will never forget it. Nigel is the sweetest and cutest puppy ever, just like all of Suzan's dogs are. What great temperments they all had! I know where my next Bullmastiff puppy will come from! Merry Christmas.Mimi Mardiros

I am reminded of that old saying, "It takes one to know one". Well as an inveterate dog lover, I can say without fear of contradiction, that Susan is also a dog lover - specifically a Bull Mastiff lover. She is not only a careful breeder, and an honest business woman, she is a genuine lover of these very special bull mastiffs. May be the best thing about Susan is that after you take home on of these lovable pups, you can always contact her should you have any questions or concerns. She is always there to help. She considers the pups that she has adopted-out as still part of her bully family. We have a male bully, name Billy the Kid, who is three years old. We recently got another female, Samantha, who is three months old. We plan on getting another girl from Susan perhaps as early as next summer. We have become true Bully fans of both the breed and of Susan. Your life is not complete without a bully in it. They bring you love, companionship, and an incredible amount of fun in your life. Don't miss out on all of this. This has been the most rewarding experience for us as a family. Thankyou...Ernie and Julie Winberg

We are so very excited to have Capone as a member of our family.  I can't even work today I am so excited.  We are thinking about keeping his name "Capone" .  We think it fits him.  Thank you for everything.  It is so nice to know that there are people in this world like you.

I just wanted to say.. I love your bullmastiffs!~ I have a friend in Michigan her name is Sherry, she purchased a brindle boy from you he is now about a year a half. (his name is Hank)..
What a looker! I have to say you have some of the nicest bullmastiffs I have ever seen!
Keep up the great work, when I am ready to purchase another I would love to own one of Tearlock's babies.

Thanks for your time, Mandee Murphy

Hi Suzan,

Thanks so much for Lola痴 birthday present.  She thought it was just great and my kids got a big kick out of it too.  I hope all is well with you and your family.  Lola is doing just great.  She is still a fixture at the little league games and loves to walk in the park.  She walks well on her leash and can sit and stay, lie down and shake hands.  She has been such a joy.  She weighs about 75 pounds now,  perfectly proportioned and beautifully marked. (we are slightly bias)  We spent the summer at the lake and she loved riding on the pontoon boat and playing on the beach.  Our friends had a new Bull Mastiff puppy and Lola had a playmate all summer long.  I have attached a picture of Lola at camp and one of her and her new friend Betty.  Thanks again for everything.

Take care,

Judy and Mike

Hi Suzan.

Perfect, and thank you.  Angus will be very excited.  I can see it now, not only his tail shaking, but his whole body (and the house 8-).  He gets so excited w/ new toys and treats!  We'll look forward to the bones and cow ears soon.

I wanted to share a quick story , I think you would appreciate:

~I'm guessing you may have heard similar stories, but just incase.  The following day Angus came home, Beth and I surprised my family and brought him to my parents house.  Besides my dad, no one new what "big surprise" was we had in store for Sunday afternoon. Almost everyone was blown away when Ang peeked his little head out of his crate from my truck.  I have three younger nieces 9, 6 and 4.  The middle one, Erin, for no-known reason is afraid of dogs.  She definitely was curious of the new little puppy, but was a little apprehensive;  maybe because she new he was going to grow a lot bigger?  Over the past year she has become very attached to Ang, and although she sometimes can be a little spooked by Angus' initial excitement when he see's her, usually within a few minutes she is right by his side.  A few months back we (including Erin's parents) were amazed to see Angus fast asleep on the family room floor with Erin lying literally on his side.  I now have that picture framed.  Although Erin still has no interest in other dogs, Angus is not just a dog to her but a friend.

I think Ang  enjoys me picking him up to get him in and out of the truck.. makes him feel like he's still a little puppy!!  Great idea, the bed will be perfect for the crate, and in another year or so I will get the cot from you.  The frisbee will just be another treat w/ the new bed.

Thanks again for all of your help. Try to get some sleep!

Have a great afternoon.

Tim

Hi Suzan

33" neck WOW, Pony must have been a House!  (I just saw his pics on the web).

I was walking Angus the other night and I had a women pull over in her car just to pat him.  She couldn't say enough about the bread, and how beautiful he was.  What a ham!  900 applications, how can you keep track, but that is very noble of you, you put some much time and effort into the pups and it is nice to know they do go to such nice families! Did you end up keeping him?  I would so love to get another one, but I know it's not the right time.  I'm definitely torn between the fawn and brindle coloring though.  I think I need to start playing the lottery, follow in your footsteps move to the country and spend much more time w/ Angus, and some day a little bully brother for him!!

Please send me 5 Nylabones and 5 Cows ears ( or what ever you think would last a month or so).  I would also like to get one of the crate bed's you have in the picture. Just wanted to confirm they are machine washable.  I think you mentioned you make the beds to order, so  I would like to get the biggest size you make I like the paw prints possible in a red or green background?  Do you use the cot w/ the beds or is it one or the other for the dogs?  Also would like to get a frisbee, and I think the pink one is perfect, I know we'll never lose it.

Hi Suzan,

Thanks for the response. I am so, so sorry to hear about your mom. Every time I communicate with you I become more and more amazed with the time you spend and the love and devotion that you have for this breed of dogs. With all that you are dealing with right now with your mom I know you certainly have your hands full (more like overflowing) so THANK YOU so much for taking the time out to respond to me and answer my questions...I really do appreciate it so much.

I will take your advice on the vitamins, etc...thanks! And yes, apparently he is going to be a BIG boy. The vet was amazed today. He did not have an appointment, Blake just stopped in to get his heart worm pill and flea stuff and they asked Blake if he wanted to weigh him while he was there...I think they were curious :). Blake did want me to ask you if his weight is normal. I think he read somewhere about them growing to fast and it actually hurting there joints, etc. I know it helps to know all you can but sometimes I think Blake reads to much :) But Winston is doing just as you said he would...he is getting so tall so fast. It really is amazing how fast they grow. Enough bragging...I just love the guy and everyday something new about him amazes me. It took us a long time to pick the right breed for us and even then after all of the research you still can't be sure until you actually have the dog but we certainly choose the perfect one for us...I can not thank you enough for allowing us to purchase him from you. I knew that I really wanted a dog, that I certainly would be attached to one, and I was so excited to get one but never in a million years did I think I would LOVE one SO MUCH...he really is a person in my eyes!!! I just look into his eyes and melt. You would think he had been with us a lot longer than he has to have grown on all of us this quickly!

We watched the video of the dogs playing in the yard...I can't believe you still have snow. Our winter was so mild...except of course those few days when we were scared we wouldnt be able to fly Winston here because of the cold weather. It has been in the 60's and low 70's here for the past few weeks...beautiful weather, except for the threat of tornados all around us (which is an experience that I wrote about in the other email you had not had time to open yet...what an experience). Blake still can't get over how much Winston looks like Tearloch in his mannerisms and expressions..too cute!

Enough rambling, I will let you get on to more important things. Take care of yourself too on top of everything (and everyone) else you take care of!

Thanks again a million times!
Mandy

Now...I don't even know where to begin to thank you for everything.  As you can see from the pictures she loves everything but the real winner in her eyes?  The new toy you made with her name on it and the fringe.  I have to tell you, no other toy exists right now.  She is using the stuffies for pillows and to suck on, but it is all about the orange toy!  She is carrying from room to room wanting me to play!  When your life settles down, I'd love for you to make me a back up.

At first I saw the leather pillow and thought she has to be kidding...this for Bella?  It is so gorgeous!  and as for me?  Yea right, my father confiscated it immediately!  He kept looking at is saying she made this?  Wow, this is really comfortable.  LOL.  He likes it as much as Bella likes her orange toy.  As for me...I'm in LOVE with her new collar!!!  OMG!  It is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen!!!!!  Her purple collar will only be used for swimming at the beach.  Someone gave her a planet earth fleece lined hemp collar and I feel bad, I just want to use this one.  I will have to bring the new collar to the weekend and say...ooh eee....we love it ;-)

Bella is the light of my life.  You are probably bored with hearing it, but I love that girl more than anything in the world.  I'm not the only one either...people on dogster have fallen in love with her, her photos and antics, my father has never in his life loved an animal like this.  She has made him a better person at 87 years old, she made me a better person the day she came into my life.  She got her spring physical this week and she is in perfect health.  Jim said she is in the prime of her life, peaked in perfect in every way and appreciate everyday with her. She ran around the clinic visiting everyone giving kisses.

LOL, my father just called me in the other room, he has the pillow behind his head supporting his neck and he said make sure you thank Suzan for my pillow.  I can hear the two of them playing with the toy.  You brought smiles to all our faces today Suzan, thank you so very, very much.

OH...the pictures of her behind the curtains?  I have the curtains up blocking the cold air from down stairs / garage.  I got out the nail clippers the other day...the pictures say it all.  Last time I cut 2 kwicks, she let me do it of course but not with a happy face.

Hope these make you smile like we are now.

Wags & Kisses~

Meredith, Bella & Bill :-) xoox

Dear Suzan,

I'm amazed you find time to make the commitment to your NE Rescue.

The true gift-for which there is no money equivalent-is your always responsive and generous expert help!

Many thanks all the best to you and the Bully Gang!
Hillary

Dear Suzan,

Happy New Year to you, Jason, and your Bully Gang!

We all loved your incredibly thoughtful Christmas gifts for Indy, as you can see from the two attached photos.  He wore the Christmas collar throughout the holidays (we thought you'd get a kick out of seeing him sleeping in his favorite napping spot).  Your nylabone is always a big attraction.  We also hung the first Christmas bully ornament ('04) that you gave Indy last year on our tree, as we will every year.

We so appreciate the way you keep in touch with us and with your beautiful bully family.  The greatest gift you give us is having the beautiful, sweet, and devoted member of our family, who makes coming home any day a special event.

Indy touches us more than I can say, just as does your thoughtfulness, Suzan.

Every best wish to you and heartfelt thanks, Hillary, Don, Reed, Whitney, Turner and Indy

___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Dear Suzan,

Thank you so much for all the photos of Indy's relatives.  What a family resemblance among them all!!  Izzabull is a perfect bully name!!  I see a lot of both Ruby and Fawncie in Indy - he's such a handsome guy!  As is Tearloch -

majestic even as a puppy!    I really look forward to seeing your brindles.

This was such a nice way to start the day!

___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Hi Suzan,

I hope all is well and you are enjoying the new year.

I do not remember if I ever thanked you for the fabulous gifts you sent to the babies!!!  They were trying to open the envelope faster then we were.  They are very inquisitive!  The lambs ears were the biggest hit to them!  I have not seen Maxy so into something before!  Then we let the babies upstairs and they could smell the original ones that you had given us at pickup.  (I held off giving them until I new what their digestive system was like- and forgot I had them!)

Anyway we love the collars and neckerchief!  They loved getting "gusied" up!  I will send you a photo from Christmas with them wearing them- which they love too!!

Again, thank you sooo much for the thoughtful gifts- and I am sorry I did not get back to you sooner-(my computer "broke" and I was unable to use for anything other than word processing).

So to the now-

Ivy is a slim 57lbs.

Maxy is a svelte 62lbs.

this is according to our home scale and me trying to hold them and see over their heads.  They still do not mind when I pick them up and kiss and cuddle.  Maxy has turned into a BIG snuggler on the couch- his favorite place.  But still feels he needs you under him with his head on your shoulder and his face under your chin.  Boy, I can't wait to see how this is going to work at 100lbs.!!! Maybe I will get on him or at least get him to lay on his side!  I have taught him to greet everyone with a "plushy" toy in his mouth so no one will feel threatened by his size.  He just looks so cute that way.

Ivy is a little more independent- likes to snuggle and kiss but feels best in the recliner by herself with her head on the arm.  But someone still must be within nose reach on the floor so she can just kiss whenever she feels the need.  And she is always looking in Maxy's direction- almost keeping an eye on him!

Maxy is very lazy and Ivy is energetic- perfect combo!!!! Someone is always up for an activity.

We have decided to hold off on the Spay/Neuter until the end of March beginning of April.  Hopefully all the ice will be gone so no one will slip and fall.

Ivy is totally housebroken!  Has not had an accident in over three weeks!

Maxy however is not!  Does not like the cold and we have to pick him up and take him outside to go potty. Generally- three to four times per week he has and accident.  I think he will do much better when the weather is better- but still pretty good.  He had it down before the icy weather.

Suzan,

I am so glad to hear that my babies are on track and not overweight.  You are correct, these babies do not care at all who is sharing the bowl or if it is taken away (which I do frequently for a few seconds).  They just look at me like I am stupid!

I will keep them on their puppy food until 2yrs as long as they are not overweight.  They do enjoy it.

_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Suzan,

Thanks for your quick reply!

I already feel better. We plan to call the vet tomorrow (once she's off

the meds) to schedule the x-ray/spay. Depending on how she does w/o the

anti-s will decide how soon.

Now, before we do the spay Ronnie has mentioned maybe we should consider

breeding her (like you said she is so gorgeous) but I'm really not sure

what that would entail... Giving her up for a couple months? I don't

know if I could!

I'm sorry to say that no, we have not been giving her glucosomine and I

don't remember seeing it in her go-home pack but I can check everything

again tonight when I get home. She is around 60-65 pounds now, so would

that still be 1000 mg/day? I can go pick some up tonight.

Yes, I did have email issues for some time w/ my yahoo account and lost

all my messages. We did end up getting a crate from a friend b/c we

couldn't wait any longer she was literally busting out of her purple

one! She's now out of the crate and sleeps on a doggie bed at night in

the living room. Sometimes she sleeps on the floor of our bedroom on a

blanket if she isn't ready for bed when we are! Either way, she is

extremely well behaved!

As for the leash, we wanted a black one with a black leather handle I

think.. And with purple writing? Even I can't remember. I'm going to

wrap it up for her for the holidays!

________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

BTW Susan,

Honestly... Thank you so much for everything!! A coworker of mine is looking into (maybe) getting a bull mastiff now that they have purchased a home where they could actually have a dog (I think they had a condo before). You may be hearing from him in the near future. He was just wondering when the next litter would be coming along. I always sing your praises so he came to me for your information! His name is Todd

Testimonials & Letters from my puppy people & some from my rescue bully people

Shieba and I want to thank you for the cute Christmas bandanna. She looked adorable in it. When ever you send anything to her I let her smell it when I take it out of the envelope and I tell her it's from her first mommy. I really think she recognizes your scent.

Give all the pups a hug for me and take care of yourself.

Love,

Marsha

Oh Suzan! I rec壇 all of your awesome pics of your babies! My gosh, they池e gorgeous! I keep opening the emails because I get a big smile on my face every time I see one of your babiesthey池e just perfect! no, BETTER than perfect! I was in Petsmart getting food & I saw the latest issue of Dog Worldit caught my eye because they have a bullmastiff on the cover yea! The main picture is a drawing of an old bullmastiff and then a smaller picture of a modern-day bully a big gorgeous fawn! There痴 an article inside with a few pics oh, this truly is the BEST breed I can稚 get enough of looking at pictures of these guys!

I値l try to get some nice outdoor shots of 奏he children today when I get home from work & see if I can figure out how to send the pictures to you. They look so nice together Nyssa with her red-ish color and light Nicohmmma brindle would just tie everything ALL together, right?!!! ah, somedayTearloch is absolutely STUNNINGI壇 love to have one of his baby girls somedayas soon as we add onto the house! maybe in a couple of years J I致e pretty much talked Marc into it, which was kind of easy b/c he壇 really love a brindle too. Oh, by the way, Marc said the picture you just sent of Fawncie is beautifuldid I tell you before that she is his favorite of your bullies? He痴 in love with her beautiful face & he always says what a great mommy she was to Nyssa J

Nico did very well at class last night. It was just an orientation-type class, but he is pretty well-behaved, much more calm than the other dogs (except for a 4.5 mo. old Old English Sheepdog named Bentley, who was even more mellow than my little fella!). He痴 so sociable & met all the doggies there.

Our weather has been quite warm lately in the 50s and 60s! This mud is killing me with these paws! The dogs love it though! I can only imagine what your mud season is like with all of your kidsat least you have that huge outdoor kennel with the pine chips I bet that is a savior in the spring!

Anyway, my break is about overoh, the pics are truly amazingyou have such beautiful babiesI love them all! Thank you so much for making my day! J

Hi Suzan
Just wanted to let you know that Onyx is the best dog. He is just absolutly so sweet and we love him to death. He is doing really, really well going to bathroom outside. He tells us by standing at the door when he needs to go out. Of course I always take him right when he gets up from his naps. So I just wanted to let you know how happy we are to have onyx and say thank you for this wonderful dog. How are things with you? Are all the babies gone now?
Take Care
Rachel

Hi Susan!

Sorry it has been a bit since I have contacted you. Layla is doing wonderfully. We are so in love with her. In fact anyone who meets her falls hard for her.

I featured Layla in my garden column in the news paper. We live on a very private rural lot with lots of critters that would eat my flowers if it wasn't for Layla. She chases away the rabbits and woodchucks that try to sneak in. I call her my Garden Warrior. I have included the picture from the paper in this note.

We are considering a buddy for Layla now that she is 2. Is it possible to get on your waiting list?

Take Care,

Alice

Hi Suzan!

Thanks again for our Layla. We couldn't ask for a nicer dog. She is so sweet. She LOVES to play with other dogs. She has lots of doggy friends, but I would love for her to have a full time buddie. We would prefer a sister and I would love to be on the waiting list. April would be great.

Alice

Hi Suzan;

Congratulations on your newest arrivals. They are gorgeous!
I hope you are well, but by the looks of the pictures you have been very ...very busy.

You may not remember me, especially since you mostly corresponded with Beth, but I have wanted to thank you for such an amazing puppy.or more appropriately friend & family member. Angus "Tyler". Beth and I couldn't be happier with him. He is such a joy for us and to everyone he meets. I don't think we could ever get tired of watching him. Not only do my parents call him their grand-dog as they spoil him, but he truly is a part of the whole family. I can't believe it has been almost a year; how big he is growing, all the while his personality becomes increasingly inquisitive and socially curious. He has quite the following with our friends along with his dog friends too (ranging from a Pug to a Dobie). Beth, and I were invited to visit friends in Shapleigh Maine a for a weekend, with a stipulation that Angus had to come too. Everyone comment's on how well behaved he is, which truly is a reflection of great genes, and a skilled dedicated breeder. I can't say enough on how happy we are!

Anyway, I just wanted to thank you again for all your help and sharing a truly AWESOME bully with us. I hope some day to have a little brother for Angus to look up to.

Kind regards,
Tim

Hi Suzan!

Layla is AMAZING. We are completely in love with her. She is so sweet. She loves all dogs and all people. She has several dog buddies including a lab she swims in a lake with. She still won't go in our pool, but is a very vigilant life guard for the kids. She is beautiful and anyone who knows Bullmastiffs goes crazy over her beauty. She is still playful, but very well behaved. She goes almost everywhere with me. Her favorite place to visit is the dump (the smells!

I've been 'monitoring' the rescue website (in November I rescued a
Bullmastiff that the owners were going to put to sleep). I was only going
to keep him until a good person could be found but fell in love with him.
You are the only person who expressed why bullies are so special. Other
dogs I've had (always rescued from shelters) have all depended on me and
loved me because I took care of them. My Bullie (Babe) loves me just
because he loves me. I don't think I can ever snuggle up to another breed
and not feel something would be missing. Once I get a crate, I'll be able
to help out with rescue dogs. I also have a big-hearted vet who I think
might/would be willing to help (he's my reference if anyone needs to
check). Anyway, thank you for summing up the best part of belonging to a
Bullmastiff.

Hi Becky
Thank you so much for your letter. You responded so fast. I'm so glad
you are happy with your Presley and Suzan. She has made such a positive
impression on us, we are driving by other breeders in Canada to go to her.
We Emailed a lot of breeders and for the most part they were either very
short on the response or they didn't respond at all. Suzan on the other hand
has been so kind and helpful to us, even though we're in another country and
probably weren't going to get one of her pups, she never cut us off and
always remained in very close contact for the past three weeks. Suzan has a
litter coming in February and with any luck there will be a pup left for us.
How I would love two, but I better let Sonya adjust to one first. Thanks
again for your help, hopefully will be able to email some pic's of our new
addition in the very near future. Presley is beautiful, I can see why your
so proud of him.

Thank you Cindy, we appreciate your time. Suzan has been great with us also and Emailing parents with children is really only a technicality at this point. We have made up our mind and because Suzan is the way she is, we are going to make the drive from Canada to hopefully get a pup from the litter that is due next month.

Thanks again for your letter and I'm sure, we'll love our pup as much as you love yours.

Sonya,

We are VERY happy with our decision to get a bullmastiff puppy! We just love her (Morgan)! This is our first bullmastiff and we would definitely get another, from Suzan. We have four children ranging in age, from 5 - 13. Morgan is just wonderful with the kids. We got Morgan at 16 weeks and she was very well socialized. She has a great temperament. She is very tolerant of all the attention she gets from them. Suzan has also been wonderful! You can tell she just loves these dogs. She is always available to answer questions.

The only behavior that we quickly stopped was that my oldest son (13) like to play rough with Morgan and she wanted to play that way with all the kids. We have explained to all the kids that they can't do that. It hasn't been a problem.

We would highly recommend getting a puppy from Suzan. Please feel free to email us with any other questions that you might have.

Hi, I like your approach to breeding bullmastiffs. They look great and clearly are healthy. I am very interested in purchasing a puppy from your next litter. How would I go about this? Is there a waiting list?

_________I appreciate that I still get the helpful support and information that I need in order to keep Lucy happy and healthy. Thanks!

How are the rest of the "family" doing? Do you still have 3? Several people have asked me about the breed and where Duncan came from, etc. So you may hear from some of them.

Would it be possible for Duncan to visit this weekend? Actually stay overnight Sat. night and I would pick him up Sunday morning. I think it's harder to find a place for Duncan to stay than it is to find a place for the kids!! My women's group is spending Sat. night together--a "sleepover" !! We will be right in Clinton. I would take Duncan, but two dogs live there!! Let me know if he can visit with you. Actually I have another reason--he so wants to play. He tries with the cats, but they will have nothing to do with him!! And my sister's dogs just bark at him and my mother's dog hides under the couch!! So poor Duncan can't find a playmate!!

Let me know if this might work. Thanks.

Always,

Sharron

HI, Duncan did well last night. He slept on the bed with us!! He seemed to be too warm once in a while--panting--but he slept fine.

We checked out some large enclosures at Agway today. We will get something for him as we won't put him on a tie-out of any kind. And he'll need some room to move around!! I also picked up a squeaky toy for him. He does pay attention when I use it!!

He's so taken with the cats!! He wants them to play and of course they will have none of that. They just look at him as if he's nuts!!

He ate dried puppy chow with some canned puppy food this morning and has been "snacking" off and on all day.

The kids just love him and he's great with them. He's just so sweet!!

Take care and I'll stay in touch.

Sharron

Hello Suzan,

I apologize for not keeping in better contact. We have had some serious medical problems in my family, so I have not been able to get online for quite some time. We are selling our house in Skowhegan and have moved back to Warren so I could be closer to my family. It was quite a pain to move back, but it is for the best and we are almost doubling our money on the house up there. So, it's not all for nothing...

Anyway, Haley is doing wonderfully! She is such a great addition to our family! I couldn't have asked for a better dog! I don't know how weird this is, but, I took her for a 6 month check up at the Vet's office yesterday. Everyone in the office just loved her. She is very social and loves to meet new people. The Vet said that she is very healthy and she now weighs 70 pounds. She has an appointment to be spayed on Jan 20th. Haley has a great personality. She loves to give hugs and snuggle. She got a funny trait passed down from her mother....she has a favorite pillow.....

She will put the pillow in her mouth and either walk around with it or she will wrap her paws around it, with it still in her mouth, and she will fall asleep. It's really cute because her nose wrinkles up! I thought you might get a chuckle out of that! She was house trained very quickly and doesn't chew anything except her own toys. She goes everywhere with us and if we can't take her, my mom "babysits" for me. She is always with someone. I've had people approach me at a store and even a gas station and ask if they could take a picture of her because she is so cute! That makes us feel really good. I have also been approached by other Bullie owners....they, like me, carry photos of their dog, just like photos of their kids. It makes me feel very proud to have her! She is absolutely spoiled rotten. She still loves to have her belly rubbed and I have to do it at least twice a day or she will pout. I never thought that it would be so much fun or bring so much comfort to have a dog! Thank you so much for letting us get her!!!!

I am having a problem with my scanner, so I can't email you any photos of her today, but I will deffinately get them to you soon.

Please don't worry about her. She is doing great and hopefully in the spring I will be able to bring her to see you!

Again, I apologize that it took me so long to get in contact with you. By the way, I love your new web site. You did a great job with it!

Hope to hear from you soon!

Tina Stewart

Me again!

I'm happy to hear about the new litter and I know that my son would love to see some brand new puppies. Do you have an idea of when they will be born? After we got Haley, my son said that he would love to come help you if you ever had another litter. I sometimes wish we still lived closer so he could come visit more often. He is having a bit of a hard time dealing with the medical problems with my stepdad and my mom and Haley is a huge comfort to him. She somehow always knows when we need a hug or a big sloppy kiss. To answer your question, Haley is very well proportioned. She is a little bit clumsey sometimes but overall her body fits her legs....

I was going to give you a call to ask about any foster dogs that you might have...

My stepdad is now legally blind and has been talking about getting a seeing eye dog. He and my mom usually babysit for me and if they don't see Haley for a day or two, they call me and ask where she is. Sometimes I think they only want me to come visit so they can see Haley.... Anyway, have you ever had a Bully trained to be a seeing eye dog? I think that he would love to have a dog like Haley. He spoils her more than I do, if you can believe that. I would like to get him a dog that is already trained. He is home all the time and it would be a wonderful companion for him and my mom as well as helping him to be able to do other activities, like going for walks, etc.

I didn't realize that you kept Ruby from Haley's litter. I hope she is doing well, as with all of your other babies! Now I know why you have so many of them. They are just like having alot of children around. If I can't get my scanner fixed, I will send you photos through the mail. Thanks again and take care~!

Tina

Thank you so much again I cant beleive how amazing he is. He is sooo goood
and listens excellent i took him on a two mile walk and he just past out
after. He really is a big love bug. I got a huge pillow for him that we
have been playing tug with I just fed and walked him this morning. Well Ive
got to get back to Jack. Thank you so much again
Sincerely,
Chris

I wanted to take a quick second to thank you again for taking the time to talk with me today. I felt good about Ruby before talking with you, but I feel great now! When I got off the phone with you my husband was just itching to ask me what happened, he was so excited to know that we were a good match for Ruby. I also wanted to let you know that we have a webcam and if you have one also, we could always get on there and let you see her whenever you want. Of course we will send you pictures and letters. This whole experience with you has been nothing but positive and I wanted to thank you. Here is our puppy application!

Thanks again,

Jamie

Suzan-

Sorry about my short-straight forward email last night! I just wanted to tell you that my husband has been wanting an english bulldog and was partial to a bullmastiff until he saw your website...I know, this sounds like my first email...telling you how great your website is, but I can't compliment you enough! He really wanted Ruby when he looked at the website but we didn't know if she was still available. We found a new house but we are not going to be in it until next summer because of our lease in our apartment, and as bad as it stinks to have to wait (for both the house and puppy) it will make us that much more excited to have them both. Will you have brindles with the next litter (next summer)? Is it okay if we send you a deposit already, even though it is a year away? I know that sounds crazy, but we want you to know how serious we are. If there are no brindles (male or female) we would also love to have a dark red (which is my husbands favorite). The color of the puppy is such a small detail compared to what you get in the puppy itself! I hope that I am not bothering you as it seems like you are VERY busy. I wanted to let you know that I am happy that you do not breed your females more than once a year...when I read your comment about the "I wouldn't want to be pregnant more than once a year" I laughed, how true. It seems like everyone we have talked to so far does breed their females constantly, they tell me, "oh, we only breed her every other heat", my God, I don't know a lot about breeding (which is why we will never do it), but isn't that a lot?? I couldn't imagine that, poor mommies! If you find time to email me pictures that would be great along with what colors you will "probably" have in the next litter. Again, I know it is so far away, but I can't explain how excited I am. I would love to talk with you on the phone sometime if that's okay. The only time I have to talk is on the weekends, and I am sure that is kind of your down-time, just let me know. Also, let me know how you feel about us sending you a deposit for our future family member! I think that is all I have for now. Thanks so much for all of your time you spend talking with me!

Jamie

Wow what a website! Between my husband and I we have looked at what we thought was every website that had to do with bullmastiffs and although some are pretty good, yours was impressive!

My name is Jamie Smith and my husband and I are very interested in the mastiff breed. We had an English mastiff a year ago and so we are pretty familiar with the mastiff breed. Right now we have a son who is one so at this time we are not looking to buy right now. We would like him to get a little older so he can learn/understand how to treat a dog. Also, he is just learning how to walk and although this isn't an aggressive breed, he will most likely get knocked down a few times a day. At this time we are also living in an apartment, as big as it is, it just isn't big enough for a dog at this time. We want to wait until we have a house with a yard with a privacy fence before we buy. We have done all the possible research there is to know about a bullmastiff.

I loved your website so much I had to email you now even though it will at least a year before we purchase one of these awesome "family members". That is the other thing, I just realized that I said I wanted a fence, but that is not because this puppy will be outside a lot. I have never had an outside dog before and never intend to. I believe that is the best way to get a very unsocialized pet. Our English mastiff was never outside unless he was with us and we would never change that, period.

I want to tell you a little more about us so you know this crazy family who is already searching for reputable breeders years in advance!!

Right now I am in my first year of graduate school looking to get certified to teach elementary students. I am also working for the college (Texas State University...yes, Texas another reason we cannot have a pet outside, it's too stinking hot!) by going to the area high school working as an athletic trainer for their sports teams. Although, because of how much time it has taken away from me being with my family, next year I will only be going to school without the athletic training. My husband is doing his student teaching right now with special education/physical education students and will be getting a job this December. We are a young active family (I am 22 and my husband is 25). We like to take our son to the river, the park, anywhere that gets him outside and active. We would love to have a bullmastiff to share all of this with. We just moved to Texas in July from Iowa so we are adjusting to everything that is new around us which is the final reason why we are not looking for a pet at this time. We want to be fully prepared with a house (with ROOM) with a fenced in yard, teach our son a little about how to treat dogs, and accustomed to our surroundings (how can a new pet feel comfortable if we aren't?). I know I have rambled on and on, but I want you to know how serious we are about purchasing a puppy. So many times we have seen in the paper where people are selling their puppies for as low as $300 (hello, puppy mills!) or as expensive as $2500, claiming they have better bloodlines than anyone else.

Now for the somewhat important stuff...we are looking for a female who is brindle. We will be spaying her and taking her to obedience school most definitely. Like I said, we are just looking solely for a pet for our family and have no intentions of breeding or showing her. I know you said that temperament was basically a guarantee, which is a main concern for our family with a child so young and most likely, God permitting, more on the way some day. I was also wondering if you could tell me what the shipping costs were. I know that at times that could be traumatic for the puppies, and if we could afford the time and money for two so they could have a buddy, we would (actually ask me in a year and I may change my mind!). Our closest airports are probably Austin, San Antonio, or Houston in that order. If you could keep me posted on any breeding's so that we can stay current with you that would be great. Also, any further information that you have not covered on your website with any pictures of the brindles you have had in the past would be great. Lastly, pictures of the parents that you used to create these beautiful brindles would also help. Thanks so much for your time, I know this was long and I apologize! I look forward to hearing from you soon, keep it up on the website, it is the best I have seen yet!

Jamie

Suzan-

This day is just inching by, it seems like it is dragging on and on! Tim is getting very excited to pick Lola up. We called the Austin airport and they told Tim to pick up Lola at the baggage claim area and someone would bring her there. He has a "packet" that I made him with all of her information. He should be more than prepared. He went today and got her some puppy food, the purina one like you said and the others (I can't remember off the top of my head I am at work right now). He also went and got her some new toys, a little stuffed cow (which I am sure will be ripped apart in a matter of hours), a kong, and a couple baby teethers. The one teether has sterlized water in it so if she punctures it, she'll be okay. We just have to teach Isaiah that those are her toys and not his! He will have to learn how to share. I can't wait to get home tonight and see her. I am debating b/c I will get home at around 10:30-11pm and I will want so badly to see her but I don't want to mess with her if she is sleeping. Who am I kidding? I will get her out of her crate as soon as I get there! I can't explain how excited I am. Today I was flipping through channels while trying to get Isaiah down for a nap and came across Animal Planet and they had the show, "That's My Baby" if you have ever seen it, and it was about a lady and her bullmastiff (she looked just like Opie) and her four brindle babies she had. It was so cute, I don't know if you have ever seen it or not, but it was about the 10th time that I have seen it. It just got me so much more excited to get Lola here! I came out of our bedroom after Isaiah fell asleep and told Tim and he wanted to watch it but I told him it was already over, he was mad! But then he smiled and said, "pretty soon we'll have our own bully here and won't have to watch them on TV!".

I don't know if I have ever taken the time to thank you or not for all of the time you put into talking with me. We feel very privaledged to be able to invite one of your puppies into our home. I have never met someone like you that is a breeder (I know you hate being called that, but I couldn't think of a more appropriate term!). You are so caring with your animals and it takes a very dedicated and special person to be like that. I see now why you don't come close to breaking even with money and your pups with all the work you put into it, but coming from me it is really appreciated! I hope that in a few years we will definately be in a actual home with a yard so that we can get another puppy from you (a brindle). Please keep doing this so that it can become possible. I told Tim last night that I would never buy another dog from anywhere else and he agreed, so he told me to make sure that we are on a list for about three years from now, hold us to it! Well, I will have even better things to say in a few days after we become aquainted with Lola.

Take care and Tim will be calling you in a few hours,

Jamie

Hi Suzan

Love the Pictures. Just as well all the pups were spoken for! We had a lightining strike here which took out my fence charger and the new computer so I am using the old one again and hope it is doing its job. Kari-Fae is doing great. We had company for a week and they had a dog so Kari had a new best friend for a while. She was a very tired Bully when they left and slept for days. I have 2 new kitties Freddy and Isabelle [both needed help!] and she just loves them too. She loves Sophie the horses and everything else on the planet! Even my mother in law [not a dog person] has been pulled into Bullyland and likes her.

Hope the puppy parting is not too traumatic! As soon as the 'good' computer is repaired I will send pics. Hope this reaches you.

Alison

Hey there! Yes, I already got this link, but I've looked at those wonderful
pictures about 100 times, another time doesn't hurt!!!

Yes, we were hoping for a female. We were thinking a red/fawn, but red is
just perfect. Opie is absolutely beautiful, and we'd be thrilled if our
little girl had his color.

I'm happy to hear that Fawncie is "back to normal" so quickly. What a
happy, proud mommy she is! What a sweetie! I'm also glad to hear that all
the puppies are healthy & strong. What a little miracle! I've never been
happier!

Take care & get some sleep! (I see that you sent this email at 2:15
am!!!!!!!!!!!)

Good morning Suzan,

Just a quick note to say thanks again for letting us
come to your home and meet everyone! The puppies are
worderful!!! I have had the photos developed and they
are so cute! I have a great one of Fauncie with the
couch pillow in her mouth and a very playful look on
her face. As far as names go we have been trying to
decide on one for our new baby that we all love, so we
will let you know asap. I have to run for now, but we
wil keep in touch.
Catch some zzzzzzzzzzz's if you can, you were a great
the other day!

Have a great day, Kim :)

From one of my rescue people:

I am so happy that everything seems to be working out so well for her. She
is definatly in good hands. Has she been outdoors with any of the other
dogs yet ?? If so how did she react ??? I'll bet if she gets a sniff of the
new puppies she will go crazy too. Do the other dogs seem to know when
another has had puppies ??? She sounds alot like me when I was pregnant, I
think my stomach just about dragged the steps too. Funny they seem to
manage so much better than we do. No whining or complaining and look how we
act just delivering one, Imagine if we had 6 or 7 at a time !!!!The
population would certainly drop down considerably. You must have the
patience of a saint to deal with all that you do and keep going. Do you
ever get to go away for a night or even a weekend ?? I guess it's not much
different than having 10 kids huh ?? Well take good care of yourself. What
would happen if you ended up in the hospital, They would have to have a big
ward for you and all the dogs !!!! Give her my love and tell the mama I'm
thinking of her too. Allison

Thank you so much for the pictures they made our day !!!!! She looks
wonderful and as sweet as ever. We all miss her alot and can't imagine how
our life is going to be without her. I am so glad she is with you and
getting thelove and attention and care that she deserves. I would love for
her to be able to stay and be part of your family but know that you will
find someone who will treat her well also. We have tried to think of a
hundred different ways that we could make it work with her in the house but
other than one that would sacrifice her role in the family or her happiness
by secluding her from us - just can't make it work. It is so hard when you
love animals it is almost as bad as losing one of your children. Two of our
6 children were given to us by friends who were "tired of the responsibility
of being a parent" and "just needed to be free" I worried at first that in
time they would realize their mistake but unfortunatly neither one ever
looked back. Their loss our gain but it speaks volumes on the harshness of
some people. Losing Ipo is one of the hardest things we will ever deal with
but thank god every night that she did not have to be put down needlessly.
I know that in time she will adjust to life without us and that hers will be
a good one for the years she has left. I would prefer they be with us but
if they can't know you will choose well for her. Please tell her every day
that we love and miss her. Give her lots of extra kisses and belly
scratches. Let us know if there is any thing that she needs and please keep
us updated as often as possible so that we will know she is okay. Love

I guess the prayers are working. How long until you think she is back to
normal ??? I figure with all the love and attention she is getting she will
probably gold brick it for a while. She is such a big baby she just loves
attention and eats it right up. Has she been introduced to any of the other
dogs yet ??? She will be so happy to have friends to play with. Has she
been able to get outside yet ??? Hopefully today will see her feeling even
better. Let us know, we wait all day and check the e-mail hourly hoping for
good news. Allison

Hi Susan Lola is doing fine she seems to have adjusted
pretty well so quickly she sure is smart!! We made it
home around 10:30 last night and we all stayed up
until midnight playing and getting used to each other,
Alex really pooped her out by running around the house
while Lola chased her*(so cute). And she went into
her crate with a blanket and a chew toy and Caleb
talked her to sleep we also put a ticking clock next
to her crate. She slept all night without any whimpers
and sleep until seven this am! She ate breakfast then
went potty outside! She only wet inside once when we
first came home last night. She sure is a sweetie and
Caleb loves her! Gotta go for now, I tried to call
you and the phone would not work. Talk to ya soon Kim

Suzan-

I filled out the Puppy Purchaser Satisfaction document, I stated on there that if there is ever anyone that is trying to decide whether or not to buy a puppy from you, send them our way!

We just got back from the city park. We were laughing because Lola was scared of a wiener dog! She just put on the brakes, sat back, and refused to move. The owner's of the wiener dog asked what kind of dog Lola was and we told them. They said that they had wanted a bullmastiff but thought they were mean. Tim and I laughed and told them just to look at Lola, she didn't have a mean bone in her body. They were amazed that she was only 3 1/2 months old.

We let Isaiah swing while Tim and Lola camped out in the shade (it is an awesome day, only 73 degrees). Then we took her to a baseball diamond where we could close off the fences and Tim threw her ball around for her. After about 3 trips after the ball, she was done! She just flopped down next to Isaiah and didn't want to move. I should have asked you before but I remember you saying you put Gatorade in ice cube trays to give to the dogs to replenish their electrolytes so we did the same for Lola. We gave her one cube and a great big bowl of water. Is that okay for Lola too?

Well, that's all for now, other than that we have been just lounging around, the two "babies" are both out for the count right now, we tuckered them out!

Thanks again for everything and hopefully I am not wearing you out with all these play-by-play emails. I just want you to know that she is doing wonderfully. I know that the first six months are the hardest, but if they are like today then it should be piece of cake.

Okay, now I am really done,

Jamie

HI SUZAN,
AXE IS DOING GREAT. HE IS ABOUT 48 TO 50 POUNDS NOW. THE VET GAVE HIM HIS LAST SHOTS AND SAID HE IS IN GREAT CONDITION.I WILL SEND SOME NEW PIC. AS SOON AS I GET THEM. I THINK HE IS STARTING TO LOOSE HIS BABY TEETH, BECAUSE HE HAS BEEN CHEWING EVERYTHING AND ONE OF HIS TEETH HAS BEEN BLEEDING A LITTLE. HE IS A BIG CLOWN, ALWAYS TRYING TO BE FUNNY. HE KNOWS HOW TO SIT, STAY, HEEL, AND COME. HE IS SO GOOD THAT EVEN IN PUBLIC NOW HE IS LISTNING TO THE COMMANDS, WHICH IS GREAT BECAUSE HE IS GETTING SO BIG. THANKYOU FOR THE HOLLOWEEN BANDANNA IT LOOKS GREAT, I WILL TAKE A PIC AND SEND IT TO YOU. I PUT THE TAGS ON HIS COLLAR. SORRY ITS TAKEN ME SO LONG TO GET BACK TO YOU BUT I AM REDOING MY BASEMENT. BETWEEN THAT WORK AND THE YANKEE GAMES I HAVE NOT SAT DOWN AT THE PC. I WENT TO LAST NIGHTS GAME 2 OF THE WORLD SERIES, IT WAS GREAT BUT I ONLY GOT A COUPLE OF HOURS SLEEP. O.K. TALK TO YOU SOON

Dear Suzan--

You can knock us over with a feather at how easy & pleasurable Maggie has been--you did a fantastic job--we've owned a lot of dogs and have never seen a more secure puppy.. She slept virtually all the way home, met her step-brother and sister--the pug's a little jealous and wary, but Maggie and Churchill the bulldog became instant friends--they seem crazy about each other. She slept through the night in an open crate by our son's bed without a whimper and--believe it or not--has not made one "mistake" in the house--goes outside to do her duty. (We don't expect that record to stand intact). She's eating like a little pig and has been deeply affectionate with everyone. She loves running around the grounds and seems to have a thing for leaves and twigs. I hate to soil her record, but she did pick up her water dish--I don't know how since it's pretty big--and tried to carry it off--and then attacked the paper towels as I was wiping it up. You should see how regal she looks , lying resting in the yard, her red coat against the green grass and her head held high. Little as she is, you can see the grown-up beauty she's going to be at those moments. We've all fully and deeply bonded and Maggie seems very hooked-in too--I think having other dogs may have helped the transition, since there痴 been no anxiety at all. We just love her to pieces. One day and if she was gone, there'd be a huge hole in the family. Again, you did a great job. Don't worry, your baby's in the best of hands. We'll keep you posted and send pictures soon.

Hi Suzan,

First, I want to tell you the Sheiba is so beautiful. She sat on my lap all the way home from the airport (about 1 hour)

without squirming at all. Just a few kisses on the face when she looked up.

Suzan, I am so impressed with you and your breeding business. When you have any more puppies coming, I would

be happy to contact the American Bullmastiff Assoc. here and let them know. You probably already know how to

contact them and perhaps it is not advantageous for you to go that route, but if you can think of any way I can

help you, please let me know.

Sheiba is doing very well. She's very curious and is checking the farm out. She's a little afraid of Gus, the pug,

but I'm sure she will get used to him. I will be there coaxing them to become very well accustomed.

I love her already and thank you so much.

Take care,

Marsha

Hi Suzan,

The bandannas you made are so cute and they fit Shieba well. There were so many nice things in her bag

that you sent. Thanks so much.

I went through the little folder with her health records and have them ready to take with us tomorrow.

She slept a lot today. I guess she is still recovering from the ordeal yesterday. She is getting very

comfortable here. It's so cute, the neighbors are coming to see her and the kids are calling during the

day to see how she's doing. She's the new baby.

How are you doing since the puppies are gone? I guess you're accustomed to it by now, but it still must be

hard after seeing them from birth through a couple of months old. They are so easy to get attached to and

love. I suppose that you know there will be more and you can't keep them all.

I'll keep you updated on Shieba Suzan.

Talk to you tomorrow,

Marsha

Hi Suzan,

Shieba had a very good night. I brought the wire crate up to my bedroom and she seemed comfortable. She cried

a little at first, but I spoke to her and she quieted down and went to sleep. She's so great. She's been checking

out the house all morning. I have to keep taking things out of her mouth.

I called my vet, Dr. Dickenson, and made an appointment for her tomorrow morning at 10:30.

She's trying to jump up on the couch right now but can't quite make it. I just love her Suzan.

Thank You,

Marsha

It's a very good idea to microchip all the rescued bull mastiffs. After you put the time in to train the dog and

make him a happy and compatible pet, it would be great if he could be identified. I think the idea regarding the

artwork on greeting cards would work too. People love pictures of their pets on cards.

You're such an amazing person to put so much of your time into helping these bulleys. My friends and family

are so impressed with you as an I. I showed them the shirt and bandana that you sent and they thought it

was so nice of you.

Shieba's been such a good girl. She didn't have any accidents in the house this past weekend. The next training

session starts November 1st. I tried to get in touch with the trainer yesterday, but he wasn't there. I'm sure

I won't have a problem signing her up for the classes. I'm really looking forward to working with her with a

professional trainer.

Has Ladybug become a little more comfortable with you or is she still nervous with people? I'm sure with enough

love, she'll be just fine, as long as she wasn't abused as a puppy. Sometimes it's hard for them to overcome

that fear if that was the case. If anyone could help her though, it would be you Suzan. Animals can tell a good

person.

My mom is visiting today so I better straighten up before she comes. I had nine people here for dinner last

night and still have a little more to do.

Talk to you soon.

Marsha

Hi Suzan,

Thanks so much for the wonderful pictures. It is amazing how the pups look
so much alike. Shieba had an appointment with her vet yesterday and she
weighed in at 68 lbs. He said she looks very good. Tonight she will be
going to her first obedience class. I'm looking forward to it. I'm having
a time getting her to go in the car. I've tried offering treats but she
won't jump in and she's getting to heavy for me to lift. My sister had to
come with me yesterday to help. That's something I would like Joe, the
trainer, to help me with. I'll let you know how her first class goes. I'm
sorry to hear that Ipo isn't doing very well. I'm sure if anything can be
done, you could do it Suzan. It must be hard for you. I'm sending you a
couple of pictures of Shieba with Gabriel. The kids have such fun with the
pups. Thanks again for the pictures Suzan. I just love seeing Shieba's
brothers and sisters.

Talk to you soon,
Marsha

Hi Suzan,

I feel like I have gotten to know you in the last 7 weeks and I would like to put a voice to the email. Then once the puppies are born a face to the voice. I can't believe they are going to be born in a few weeks! From your last email you sounded out straight! What a huge heart you have to take on Ipo. She is a lucky girl to have you foster her. I hope she is doing better. I had a family member that had seizures, it can be hard. It never ceases to amaze me the lack of care or ignorance people show their animals, it is heartbreaking that they have to live like that.

Please try to take care of yourself in all this madness with the expectant mother (did the ultra sound show how many puppies?) and your foster baby and the rest of the kids! They need you healthy and rested...if that's possible!

Take care Suzan, I am so excited. puppies are coming...I can't wait to hear from you.

Suzan,

Grant tried to weigh Morgan the other day, but the scale only goes up to 250, so we know she is at least more than 60 pounds. I would guess that she is also probably close to 70 lbs.

I just love her soooo much!

Take care

Cindy

Suzan,

Everyone loves Morgan. She is the sweetest dog! I will send more pictures later, but here are a couple of Ian & Samantha with Morgan. She is doing really well. The cats are not too happy, but I'm hoping in time they will forgive me. They are in door cats. The good news is that we have lots of places for them to hide.

Thanks again for everything!

Cindy

One of my rescued bully people

Hi Suzan-
Thanks for all the tips!
Penny is doing great. We love her to death. She is doing very well in her
new home with us
She loves "treats" going for walks and we just discovered she loves the
snow.

We bought her a crate and she spends a lot of time in there. It is her own
little home.
She is a thief, she is always stealing anything and everything left on the
floor.
We know where to look though. She takes everything into her "house"

She eats a lot! I am curious what you think is an adequate amount of food?
We feed her a large can of wet Iams food mixed with about 2 cups of dry
food twice a day. Once at around 7:00 a.m and the 2nd around 5:30 p.m
We also leave out a large bowl of dry food for her to snack on all day
long.
It seem that she is always hungry though. I just want to make sure she is
eating
enough but I don't want to over feed her either.

We have taken some great shots of Penny I will e-mail them along later once
I get
home from the office.

I would love to support your cause for raising money to microchip by buying
one of the
item you have for Penny but the images you sent are too small to really
see.
Can you send me larger image files. I have a very fast internet connection
at home
so don't worry about image size.

Talk to you soon
Caleb

Suzan-

That's perfectly fine. Of course we will have nothing but positive things to say about Lola. She NEVER exhibited aggressive behavior toward any of us. With Isaiah she just wanted to kiss him all of the time, but by the end of her stay with us, she kind of learned to let him come to her, but of course, there was still times that she would go up to him. But she never ran at him, she was very gentle with him (especially for a puppy). I also understand why she is calling, but there is absolutely nothing that I could complain about with Lola. She was such a good girl when she was here although we never played with her very rough. I suppose that if her children play with her rough she may get a little more rough too, but that is to be expected. But as for us, she was never naughty like that. Anyway, I just got up from a nap, for some reason I was feeling very sick today, just achy and stuff. I really think it's because of the stress of the last few days and the little sleep that I have gotten.

Well, I just wanted to let you know that that is definitely okay with me that Cindy calls. I will have nothing but positive things to say about Lola!

I will talk to you in a couple hours I guess!

Jamie

ABA Rescue and Ipo sure are lucky that Suzan offered to help with Ipo. Thank goodness Suzan is married to a veterinarian, otherwise Ipo wouldn't have been able to exist at Suzan's home as she has for the past three days. Hopefully Ipo starts to wake up more and we can decide if she can be helped. Part of her original problem, as I understand it, is that she was getting half the dose of phenobarbitol she needed to help regulate seizures. I am sure Suzan will keep us posted on how she does. Needless to say, the photo she sent to the list was one taken before Suzan got her. I don't think Suzan has seen the dog sitting up for more than thirty seconds.

Welcome Suzan and thanks so much for your help.

Virginia Rowland

Just had to take a minute to write and thank you again for contacting Suzan for us. She is a god-send. Her and her husband have both gone way beyond the limit to help Kuuipo and us. She is coming along slowly but they believe there is hope for her. I am certain without their knowledge and kindness she would not be here today. We have dubbed her the "Mother Theresa of Bullmastiffs" and will keep her and her husband in our prayers everyday for the kindness and generosity they have shown us and her. Your organization is lucky to have such wonderful people among its members. I have given the information to my husbands business accountant and he assures me that a donation is forth-coming. We will continue to support your organization to the best of our ability and will share the great work and information with others that may be able to help also. Again thank you so much for your help. Allison Bilbrey

HI Suzan,

That's a nice photo, glad to see she is up on her feet. Is her behavior 'normal' now? Have you heard from her previous owners? Did they ever give you an explanation for her name? It looks like it is a Finnish name. (I live in an area where there are lots of Finns and businesses with Finnish names.) She looks like she has a pretty head, she might be a good subject for a head study for a rescue logo designed by you. If you get a nice photo of her head I can send it to Andrea Kelly. She uses photos of rescue dogs (they typey ones) to do artwork for trophies at the Bullmastiff specialties held in Philly in the Fall and Harrisburg in April.

Virginia Rowland

Thank you for the tip on leash training Shieba. I have been pulling back and saying "heal". She's just starting to

understand. She's smart and hopefully it won't take long before she learns not to pull. I love training her and

just being with her.

How's Ladybug doing? It's so nice that you are offering your time to train them to become accustomed to people.

It will be so rewarding just to know that you are making their lives happier.

I to wish that we lived closer so we could train our pups together. It would be so much fun.

I have to call Dr. Dickenson this week and make another appointment for Shieba. He wants to check her weight.

She looks perfect and I'm sure he'll be fine with it. She does love to eat. I keep biscuits in my pocket and when

she does something I ask her to do, she gets one. It's so cute, she doesn't take her eyes off me when I reach

into my pocket.

My kids all came home today and they just love her so much. She's getting a lot of attention.

It was so funny last night, my sister came over with her husband and family and Shieba and Megan were chewing

their hoofs. She complained so much about the smell that I had to take them away from them until they left.

It's funny, it doesn't bother me because I love to see them happy and they love them. She loves animals but

she is very sensitive to odors.

I measured Shieba's neck and it is 14 1/2". She was moving so much at first I read 14" and 15", but the last

measurement was 14 1/2". How is the walking leash different then the training leash?

The trainer that I called has a pretty good reputation here. He has been advertised on cable television and seemed

very competent. He also is very close to where I live so it will be very convenient.

I'll talk to you later Suzan

Marsha

Susan,
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR ALL THE HELP! I really appreciate the e-mail that you sent me. I wish you had male puppies because you definitely are the friendliest and most helpful person that has replied to me about their pups. I wanted to ask you if there are any other questions that I should be asking breeders because to be honest this is my first time buying a dog and I'm not positive on what all I really need to know. I grew up with St. Bernards, Rottweilers, German Shepards, and Retrievers. I absolutely love dogs, but I have never bought one on my own and I don't want to make any mistakes. Thank you for the questions you already gave me, I have definitely found them useful! I just wanted to see if there was anything else I should be asking besides genetic diseases and the pups family. I have been reading up on bullmastiffs, but you really sound like you know what you're talking about so I wanted to ask you also! Thank you for your time and I hope to hear from you soon.!
Also, PLEASE let me know if you do happen to find any male pups! THANKS!

Sincerely,
Kaleigh

Hi! We are very intrigued by your bullmastiffs. What wonderful pictures,
very entertaining. Do you know when you expect your next litter? I read
that you are looking for a female to breed?!? We want a red male puppy. We
would appreciate any information you might have for us.

Thank you,

Susan ,

she is so lucky to have someone like you. there are so many people out there that would have turned their noses up at her. Aren't you glad you took the time with her..!!! your such a great MOMMY..!! I wanted to know where you might find info on plants (of our area) that may be dangerous to my babies.

I have seen some of your yard, you have flowers and plants. We do to, including a veggie/flower garden. Zeus and Zena seem to be enjoying eating anything out there lately..! the veggie garden is fenced off but we still have numerous plants and bushes in the yard. I would hate to see my puppies get sick over eating something that I could have prevented. how do you keep them out of your stuff???

thanks,

Becky

It sounds like you do an excellent job breeding and raising those babies and finding them great homes. I also love the fact that you provide so much useful information to others regarding the breed.......By the way I too love those wrinkles!!!!

Mimi Barnes

Susan,

Sounds like you are one busy woman,! but your doing the breed a great service. thanks.

Harvey and Becky

Yes, thanks, and I agree with Harvey and Becky doing a great service for the Bully breed.

Thanks again, Mimi

SUZAN: you are doing a wonderful job. All foster homes are!!!! And also we are all very tired I'm sure. This is a tremendous amount of work. A family I have right now inquiring about my 1 yr. old foster DUKE has been reading Mona Lindau Webb's website, etc. and she emailed me last night because she was also reading about rescue, as I sent her the websites to check out, etc. and she made it a point to let me know that what she read about rescue and all that it was about and entailed, and she wanted to thank me and thank all of us simply for what we are doing. That makes you feel really good inside when someone who has not even adopted yet, takes the time to research everything and to understand and let us know how she feels about it. She commented on how I could be working a paying job, taking care of my household and my own two dogs, yet rescue on top of it all. I told her that there were so many of us across the United States and she was floored. I told her how we all do these things every single day and how tired we can get but yet its the very thing that keeps us going. I told her about the undying passion we have for this breed to be involved in what we do. This lady was just blown away but in a nut shell, she thanks us all.

What you are doing with your current foster is a blessing to her. She's with the right person. Some day when she is ready to be placed, you will find her the proper home. She's got a long road ahead and where better to be than with you for the journey there.

ROSEANN

Hi Suzan,

A Donation to the ABA on your behalf will be done by tomorrow, we really appreciate your help and advise! You really love
these bullies don't you? It shows!

Marci Miller

Hi Jamie

Thank you for taking the time to respond to our Email. We have already made up our mind and this was just the last thing we had to do. I have been decided for some time now but it just took Sonya a little longer to come around. I didn't want to steer her to much but let her come to her own conclusions. We both wanted to be sure that this puppy was going to be a positive thing for our family. We had questions about the breed but never Suzan. She has been a fantastic lady to us. Always more than eager to help us with our decisions and any concerns we were having even though we are in another country. We really don't want to get a puppy from anyone else and hopefully, we are going to get a puppy from her February litter. I'm sure it'll be well worth the drive (only 12 hrs each way) Suzan has sent us so many letters of reference and even though we don't have a puppy from her yet, this gives us the opportunity to thank her as well.

Sorry to hear about the flu, but think positive, you could be here where it was a balmy -31 degrees F. last week. You're lucky you never had the "knock over". We had it with our Rottie and although he didn't mean it, it did hurt the kids from time to time.

Well, enjoy Lola and I'll make sure I say high to Suzan in April for you. Thanks again,

Hi Suzan,

I really appreciate you taking the time to answer my email inquiry with
such thought and detail. I'll try to call tomorrow, Wednesday during the
day. If there are any Bully breeders or "enthusiasts" such as yourself, I'd
love to find out who they might be. From your response I wish the timing
would have been better. I surely convinced by the issues you addressed in
your response to us, that we'd have found the right breeder to get our new
family member from. Unfortunately, we really want to find another dog before
sometime next year, unless you'd planned on an early spring'04 breeding. If
for any reason the remaining puppy's potential owner changes their mind,
please try to let us know immediately.

Thanks,

Hey Suzan,

Good luck with your rescue girl. Hate to tell you this, but my first
"unofficial" rescue, a female BMF aged four, took about a year to come to
life. For that entire time, she was almost catatonic. Would not make eye
contact nor any sound. Only descended from her chair to eat meals and poop
on the floor in the middle of the night. She (Mrs. Toad) is now in her 14th
year, having been with me 10 years. She is absolutely full of personality,
dances for her dinner, sings with me regularly and guards her home
ferociously. BUT...all this energy and life immediately disappear totally,
even now, anytime she has to leave home, even for a ride to the vet's. The
trauma of being abandoned will NEVER be gone. I'm convinced she has not the
heart that can conceive of such betrayal. I think she believes she somehow
just got separated from her person, and lost. This would account for her
unreasonable fear of ever leaving home. I know, all speculation. But please
don't give up on your "lost" girl.

Take care, and good luck,

Hi Suzan,

My daughter, Nicole, visited this weekend and I took a couple of pictures of her and Shieba bonding. She

had so much fun with her.

I took Shieba to "Pet Smart" with my niece, sister and my son's girlfriend. We had so much fun buying

her things. I finally found the sterile bones you told me about. I couldn't find them at the Agway here. She

loves them. She was the hit of the store. Everyone was asking about her. I asked about dog obedience

classes and think I might start her there first. They have special puppy classes from eight weeks and up. I

want to check with other places too before I decide which would be best for her.

She had her play time and now she's napping. She looks so sweet.

How's Tyler doing? Do you think you'll keep him? Puppy's are so much fun to have around. It would be nice

if we could keep them that way.

Take care,

Marsha

Hi Suzan,

I took a couple of pictures of Shieba and Gus this morning. Megan was still upstairs sleeping. They came out

a little dark. I don't know why, I had the flash on. I also am sending one of me with Gus last Christmas.

I'll send you more as she grows.

She's really getting comfortable here. I love to watch her play. She's so beautiful.

There's a dog trainer here in Chesterfield that my sister told me about. He was advertising on our local cable

station here and is supposed to be good. I plan on calling him and asking him when I could start having Shieba

trained.

Take care,

Marsha

She goes everywhere with us and if we can't take her, my mom "baby-sits" for me. She is always with someone. I've had people approach me at a store and even a gas station and ask if they could take a picture of her because she is so cute! That makes us feel really good. I have also been approached by other Bully owners....they, like me, carry photos of their dog, just like photos of their kids.

I am having a problem with my scanner, so I can't email you any photos of her today, but I will definitely get them to you soon.

Please don't worry about her. She is doing great and hopefully in the spring I will be able to bring her to see you!

Again, I apologize that it took me so long to get in contact with you. By the way, I love your new web site. You did a great job with it!

Hope to hear from you soon!

Hi Suzan-

I got the contract, thanks!

Kim and Alex had a wonderful time visiting with you and all your dogs.
They also took some great pictures. I will scan a few and send them
to you via e-mail.

Thanks again,

Caleb

That痴 a lot of puppies you have had to deal with. I can only imagine though
the satisfaction. Jack is doing excellent and happy as usual. I Truly know
why you named him Jack the ripper he has three different pillows. He has
torn through two and is orally fixated on the third. when ever i open the
door he has it in his mouth wagging his tail. He is bearing the cold
weather along with the rest of us. Hope that all goes well with the puppies
Sincerely, Chris Dewhirst.
