My husband and I live in the Virginia Beach area with our two small children, Bullmastiff and three rescue cats. When we decided to get a dog together 8 years ago we spent SIX MONTH'S researching breeds in order to find a match for our lifestyle. At the time we lived in a small apartment in the San Francisco bay area. We finally decided on a rescue one year old female Bullmastiff. She was perfect. She spent hours everyday playing in the dog park across the street and going on every vacation with us. Somebody back west once told me that "Bullmastiff's are like popcorn, you simply cannot have just one". She was correct and we rescued a puppy from a litter dumped off in LA. Our "bears" as we call them go on every trip with us. When we moved back east our two bully's, cats and bunnies made the drive with us. They have beds at my parents house for when we come in town and permanent beds in our van. My brindle boy passed a few months ago and we are sadly left with only one Bully. I simply cannot fathom having another breed. We are very particular about health our entire house is all organic. I am a stay at home mom so I am very lucky to spend all day with my toddlers and my pets.
